If you measure correctly and plan for a two-person install, this awning fabric is a strong, cost-effective replacement that looks and feels close to OEM quality. The most important lesson here is sizing. Don’t order based on the length of your old fabric—awning replacements are sized according to the roller tube. For example, a 16-foot roller bar requires a 15'2" fabric, leaving a few inches of clearance on each side. Following the manufacturer’s measuring guide makes all the difference in getting a proper fit. In terms of quality, the material feels durable and comparable to original factory-installed fabric. The 18.5 oz weight matches what came on our camper, and the white and gray option blends nicely without looking harsh. It fits as described and restores the clean, finished look of an aging awning. Installation is very doable, but definitely a two-person job. It took us about an hour, moving carefully to avoid damaging the new fabric. Letting the material warm in the sun beforehand helps make it more flexible. Running the rods through the fabric channels can be a little tricky—we found using a fish tape made the process easier. If you have a motorized awning, be aware that some arms contain high-tension springs that need to be secured before loosening anything. Checking your manufacturer’s instructions (and even watching a few online tutorials) is well worth the time. Like most non-OEM replacement fabrics, it’s realistic to expect around 5–6 years of lifespan, but at this price point, that’s a fair trade-off. This is a solid fabric awning. It's a little on the thicker side and seems to be made well. All of the stitching looks professionally done and I didn't see any loose ends on mine. I installed this the first weekend after receiving it and I'm impressed so far. In my area, we've had plenty of wind and about a couple days with heavy down pouring rain and it hasn't shown any leaks so far or signs of wear. It also holds up to the sun pretty well and once when I have the awning out I can't see any sunlight through it which a sign of good, thick quality fabric. My camper basically consists of a white, brown, and grey exterior and this blends right in with the white and grey colors while not contrasting the grey too much. I've only had it up for two or three weeks. So I can't speak to the longevity but based on the quality I would absolutely order from the same manufacturer again.

Ok I'm doing an ambulance conversion and a friend of mine was replacing the awning on their RV and asked me if I wanted their old one, after careful measurement determine it would fit on the side door side perfectly...only problem was I was going to need to find replacement fabric because this one was shot! But after a quick YouTube search saw this was a doable project so got me a free awning! When this awning fabric popped up on Vine I was like "oh yeah!" Took measurements following guide lines provide by seller and ordered the gradient grey. Was a little disappointed to receive the folded up in a box was expecting a rolled piece but the disappointment end there! I unfolded it enough to see if correct size was ordered, it was exact width of existing material but what I was most impressed with was the material! Now the old one was in use for three years so there was and expected deteriasion expected but this material was measurably thicker...when friend stopped over I pulled it out for them to see and they were extremely envious because they spent a very high price to have the material replaced three years ago and this material is at least twice as thick as what they had received and is thicker than the material on the new one they just purchased! From what I can see this gradient gray is going to look great on my conversion. Due to receiving this while we are in the middle of an arctic vortex (high temps between -5°F to 7°F) this project will be on hold until warmer weather returns. In the meantime viewing lots of YouTube videos to see the installation process. For sure I will be laying this out flat in the sun to allow the fold creases to smooth out to assist with easy installation. Appears everything has been included. After speaking with my friend and seeing how much they spent on replacement of material and a new one just three years later I would say if you are handy and have an extra pair of hands this is a great value!

I bought this 16'2" replacement fabric for my 17' awning after my original awning and mounting brackets were destroyed. Even though I still need to buy some used brackets, I can already tell this is going to look really nice once everything is installed. The fabric is heavy-duty and feels very durable, and I really like the gray fade pattern. It matches my RV’s color scheme well and gives it a clean, updated look. Make sure you measure carefully before ordering. Awning fabric typically runs 6–10 inches shorter than the eye-to-eye bracket measurement, which is normal but important to know ahead of time.
