  • A modern update to an 80's/90's classic
Overall I'm happy with the purchase. You get what you pay for and the price, shipping speed, and convenience are worth it for the product you get. As someone who owns and enjoys long coats from the 80's/90's, buying a brand new coat that has some length isn't really a mainstream option for men. As someone who does a lot of outdoor walking in all 4 seasons, the extra length is still an important factor to me. I think that it's great this Runcati brand offers knee length and shorter options for those who don't want or need the 50 full inches of length. I'm 5'11 and this coat ends at my calves. I have worn it in rainy weather and find it's most effective with an umbrella. In light showers the Polyester fabric still holds up by itself, but I would not recommend it without an umbrella in a downpour. I think overall the pros outweigh the cons with this coat. If you directly compared it to it's vintage ancestors, the old London Fog and Ralph Lauren coats definitely have the edge in quality. But...for a 50 dollar coat on Amazon that gets shipped directly to you it's not a bad deal. It's versatility is its best selling point. You could wear it seriously as a fall/spring topcoat, you could buy it for a costume, or get one from the same brand that's shorter. I have gotten use out of it and will keep it in my coat/jacket rotation. ... show more

  • Really solid trench coat for the budget conscientious
Size: X-Large Color: Black
Man, this coat has a lot of buttons and flaps and stuff. I've never had to actually turn by brain on to figure out how a coat works before this one. I still haven't figured out the flap on the right side that buttons down when there's no matching flap on the left side. Must be a fashion thing. The buttons are all big and easy to operate. There are unused cosmetic buttons, maybe used buttons on the inside of the coat and a handful of actually functional buttons positioned strategically around the coat. There are various strips and straps of the coat material here and there both inside and outside the coat which my logic brain probably would have had them leave on the cutting room floor. Somebody either had a lot of fun or a lot of sleepless nights designing this thing. Either way the end product actually works pretty well. I've had business trench coats that maybe look and feel a little more professional than this one, if more boring and plain, but for the cost this one knocks it out of the park. It is lightweight, it looks good if quirky, and it sheds water and wind well. The material is the same stuff they use on higher quality windbreakers, or close to it. There is a somewhat chintzy included fabric belt included which seems to be sized appropriately for the size coat you order. The overall coat sizing I'd say is pretty true to size. I'm a guy who is 50/50 XL or 2XL and I ordered the XL on this and it fits comfortably but the loosest belt notch is a bit snug. There are two fair-sized pockets at the front of the coat at just the right spot for hands-in-pocket lounging about. I'm 5'11 for reference if you're curious about the length of the coat. It's pretty long. I'll definitely be using this some for the upcoming cold weather. If you're looking for a trench coat on a budget then this one should get serious consideration. ... show more

  • Men’s trench coat
Size: Large Color: Bluish Gray
The color was really beautiful. It was long and my husband said the sleeves were a little long so we will have to get them hemmed. It is on the lighter side so not thick. I am not sure how warm it will be when out in the cold.
