I am new to tattooing and have ordered several different machines to see which one works best for me. That being said, I have decided to try this one. I’ve used it a few times now and I have to say that I really like this one. From the looks of it, it may seem very big, however, it fits and feels nicely in the hand. This pen machine is not loud at all. Feels very durable too. This kit comes with only 1 practice skin piece. Should have included more. Also included is as follows: - 1 grip tape. - 5 pcs transfer paper. - 1 pen machine. - 1 set of cables. - 1 power supply. - 1 foot pedal. - 40 pc cartridge needles individually wrapped with 4 different models (10 ea). - 1 black and silver case. The case is very nice, however, the lock does not work at all. Some of the felt material inside is missing on the cover. As if there wasn’t enough material to cover the whole thing. Although the lock doesn’t work at all and some of the felt material is missing on the inside cover, the case still does what it is meant to do. All in all, I would still recommend this kit.

This is a particularly great starter set for a beginner, or an upgrade set from someone who currently has a beginner kit that is not quite as "premium". This kit's star is the the tattoo pen itself, which is really a nice unit. Quite surprising, really. The pen is quite stout, and has a sort of elliptical, or cigar shape (tapered on both ends). I really like the way it feels in my hand, and it is both quiet and smooth when running. To use this pen however, you'll need to be running corded off of a power supply. Luckily, this kit includes both a really nice power supply as well as a very supple power (to the pen) cord. It also has a rheostat pedal which is... meh. The kit contains most of what you need, provided you already possess inks. This seems a bit odd, since almost every set I've seen comes with at least a selection of inks for practice (on synthetic skin). The kit does include transfer paper for designs, as well as a single sheet of silicone practice skin. Also included in the very nice case (see photo 2 for the cool 3-D design on the case) is a power supply A/C cord, a roll of grip tape (wide, nice) and 40 tattoo cartridges. The cartridges include both liners and shaders in 4 different specs. A nice feature. Cartridges appear to be good quality. Of all the items included in the kit, I was most impressed with the tattoo pen. It really feels great in your hand, and is nice and stable when running. Easy to adjust, as well. I really like this kit very much. However, I'm giving it 4 stars since it lacks tattoo inks for practice, and it doesn't have even one battery. Someone starting out is better served with a battery setup since the power cord tends to get in the way and is an unnecessary annoyance. Nice quality kit.

This is the second one of these kits that I've reviewed. From kit to kit they are very much the same but each one has better features. In this kit you get: - The gun/pen. - A power supply. - Sheets of carbon paper and one piece of practice skin. - Boxes of needle cartridges. - Self-adhesive tape, stick to itself. - A hard case to put everything in. What is different: - A very nice foot pedal in this kit. It's covered in plastic and very easy to use. The other kit was two pieces of steel bolted together with a gap. What this kit was missing: - Ink mixing cups. - pen/gun plastic covers. - An extra rubber gasket for the gun. - One pair of thin rubber gloves. So, long review short, make sure the kit you get has everything you need. These kits are mostly the same, but each kit has different features. I like this kit more because I didn't need the cups or covers, and the foot pedal was much nicer. The upgrade here is key to getting a good box, and the upgraded foot pedal is worth it.

This kit is actually nicely manufactured. The finish on all the electronics is very high quality I was impressed myself. It comes with enough needles for getting starting. The pen fits nice in my hands it's not big or oversized like some others I've tried. Operation is good, not too loud and all the gears run smooth there isn't any motor wobble. The peddle and power box seem to be put together well and functionality didn't give me any problems during use. The wires are plenty long for starting with practice skins working in my desk space. I expected the case would be of very low quality, but surprisingly it's quite nice and of standard lunch box size. The lock actually works although it's not keeping anyone from breaking in. I would say it's more of a deterrent that would stop a lazy thief but a motivated thief will just take the case and open it elsewhere. I believe that being a 'Starter Set', it should have come with some ink to 'Start' with. Including that would truly have made this a complete Starter package, for me, or anyone entering this art. This tattoo package gets 4 stars from me. Thanks.

For someone who has a lot of time on their hands your always looking for something to do. Trying new hobbies as well as looking for different ways to express your creativity this was one thing we had not tried yet. This kit is so inclusive that it comes with the practice skins to get you started. Its so easy that we even let the kids try it out they thought it was an awesome new paint brush. With enough practice and time maybe one day this hobby might go to tattooing my husband and no longer spending big dollars on a pro.
