This little fridge is great! It's incredibly quiet and has an impressive amount of storage space, considering its size. The picture shows an Igloo branded fridge, but the one I received is an RCA. From what I can tell, there are no differences from the pictured version. I love the blue color! It's a little lighter than the blue pictured, but it looks very retro and fits nicely under my desk at work. I've still got room between the desk and the fridge to store things on top of it too! I have yet to experience any leaking or weird noises so I think this one is a winner! I did find some moisture build-up from placing a food storage container too close to the bottom of the freezer section of the fridge. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind when storing your consumables. Recommended! ... show more

    • Good for upstairs bedroom
I am spoiled, and I like to drink coffee with cream in my bedroom. Prior to this refrigerator, I had little tabletop ones that worked ok, but they only lasted a year -- if that. And then, this winter, I caught the flu, and going downstairs to get something to eat was excruciating. I kept thinking that, if I had a refrigerator like I had in my dorm back in the day, that would be perfect. So, once I was feeling better, I ordered this. The blue color is very nice. The fridge is not too heavy; I was able to carry it upstairs by myself without too much effort. The only thing that bothers me is that it's not closed on the back. There is a little tray for ice (and a drip tray, for some reason), but it did not come with an ice cube tray. I don't keep very much in the fridge -- just a a few water bottles and the above mentioned cream -- but there is room for quite a bit more. So my nearly 9 yo daughter really wanted a mini fridge in her room so she would have refreshments and cold snack within reach while playing in her room or watching movies. She saved and saved the money and with my help we got the fridge. It's blue and very cute. Fits bunch of little soda cans plus snacks, fruit. It cools nicely on 2 nd setting. Supposedly it's energy efficient with average consumption of $28/ year. Not bad at all. It's a perfect in size for small spaces like bedrooms, offices and such . So far we love this mini fridge. Was looking to replace a 1.7 cuft HAIER, it was about 11 years old no problems until some idiot left the door open for 2 days.. Haier were all sold out everywhere I looked so I thought a Frigidaire would be a good one... the Villages idiots brother designed this thing. All I put in one is 12OZ bottles. You can stand up 2 on the top back shelf.. and lay ne down. The wire shelf is positioned about 3/4 in below the back shelf so you can't use the joining space because of the drop. Anything put on the wire shelf must lay down .. that's OK except the shelf tilts ford just enough that you can't double stack laying down 12OZ bottles they slide off and hit the door.. opening it abit.. we let the front legs down but to no avail. Thermostat is in the back , inside of the compressor area.. what were they thinking on that..you have to turn thr fridge around to operate the thermostat .. AND it's a 1 to 7 dail..6 gets things cold not the kind of cold you want your drink to be, but on 6.5 things freeze ..in different places .. the temperature is not distributed ... some back corners freeze a small area in the front things freeze .. and the same exact 12OZ Mt Dew freezes in the very back in a corner in the front and the rest are the kind of cold you want your drink to be..but the next day things aren't that cold ...so we turned the thermo up to 7 just to see what happens ..of the 15 drinks that were in it 7 froze 3 almost froze and 5 were that drinking cold. On 7 now..undisturbed for 30 + hours.. And you know it when the compressor is running. And it gets hot to the touch right outside wall in the back just above the thermostat..heat transfers to the inside.. makes condensation on the inside That freezes on 6.5 & 7. Not on 6.. it just makes things on that side inside Wet.. I put the fridge in my shop up on top of a filing cabinet. . For drinks .. it might work for uh.. well.. maybe .. some cheese or lettuce... maybe pudding ... I do Not Recommend this ..uh.. thing .. UPDATE. ☆ UPDATE ☆ UPDATE The Joke is on Us .. 102 days of running .. well actually 96 days.. This P.O.S. Quit , oh it still makes noise , like it's working.. but all ya get is condensation then after several hours ,, water in the floor .. A $138 waste .. Hopefully by now I can find a Haier... Also the the 3 star rating has obviously dropped to a big fat Zero..... Arrowflinger ... show more

Right off I'll say the shipping and box were fine. Amazon and UPS are not the issue with this fridge. It's the manufacturer. The first issue...I open the door and voila!!!...a bent Ice tray...Refer to the picture. You can't use the ice tray...it just slides down spilling the water. This is not a part of the fridge you can "bend" or "move" yourself to make it work...it's fixed. A lot of water drips on the bottom of the "freezer" portion. This was not due to leaving the door open. (refer to picture) The 2nd issue...I can't change the door from one side to the other. One of the screws...which are plastic...the head was broken off and the shaft stuck inside. The other screw just spins. Note to the manufacturer...spend the extra 2 cents and use metal screws next time. the 3rd issue....water drips from the inside of the fridge down the freeze/freon line next to the compressor...right where 2 ground wires are attached to the frame of the fridge. I had this fridge 14 hours and had to wipe up the water a few times. No drip tray!!! the 4th issue...i purchased a fridge...that shows in the picture...it has adjustable shelves and an "igloo" badge on it...i got an RCA the 5th issue...man this thing gets warm...borderline hot...if your toaster oven ever goes out and you need to warm up some biscuits...stick em on top of this this thing...i guarantee it'd warm em up pretty quick Be aware that most of these fridges are of the same manufacturer build and quality. Don't be fooled by the name tag or color. Spend a few bucks more and get a name brand. ... show more
