I wanted to add a different spark to my dining room (without the added expense of buying furniture-and my chairs aren't the type that one can put chair covers on). So, a new rug might be the trick, I thought. This is a nice rug. (1) It's thin enough (but not bare) to fit nicely under the table and chairs (easy enough to slide back without the chairs being caught on the rug), (2) It's a simple grey; not too dark nor too light, (3) The border is a nice touch; just a touch of decor without having to think about it being "dated" in a year or two. (3) One of the bonuses of this rug is that easy to move it to another room and create another look-my den is blue & grey so when I want a change, I'll put this rug in there. Then it can transition to the basement/family room/movie room, it instantly adds more warmth to a basement floor. Very nice neutral design for just about any decor. It is very soft and cleans easily. It has shown the fold marks longer than other rugs I own but they are slowly flattening out.

Pros: Soft to walk on Vacuums well Doesn’t attract pet hair Cons: Requires separate rug pad Thin This rug is a nice budget-friendly option for those looking for a cool-tone and relatively neutral colored piece. I ordered this for my living room to use over hardwood flooring to decrease slipping for my dog. It does help decrease her fall risk, but it did require a separate non-slip rug pad underneath it. In terms of appearance, this rug looks nice, but it is visibly inexpensive. You can tell that it’s an affordable option. If you’re looking for something that better mimics high-end rugs, this isn’t the best choice. With that said, it does look attractive and it works really well with a variety of decor styles. I use this in my dog- and cat-friendly home. While hair can become stuck in the rug from walking over it or pets rolling it in, it doesn’t attract hair the way that some rugs do. It’s easy to vacuum and doesn’t require a ton of extra maintenance like constant fur removal using a squeegee or comb. Overall, I think that this is a decent option, especially for the price. It’s a simple design so can be paired with anything. I now have a futon in the room and a tv and my kids love hanging in there now. I find them sitting directly on the rug as it is pretty soft. Considering this is a 5' x 7' area rug for less than $100, it's a very good buy. I definitely recommend getting a rug pad or tape to keep it in place. It's soft, but I wouldn't call it plush. Certainly comfortable underfoot. I think the main draw of this rug is that the coloring and simple style make it a good fit for pretty much any room. The material (polypropylene) seems pretty hard-wearing, and is great for high-traffic areas. It does have a bit of a plastic/chemical odor when you first unwrap it. ... show more
