Works great with two way radios. Comes through crisp and clear, unless you're hard of hearing have to turn the radio down. Only drawback I was looking for something more in doubling as earplugs. Haven't found anyone that makes mono style earplugs ear buds. So safety team no liky these, have to wear ear defenders over them. I used these in emergency at the track. Work great. Cord is a bit long on them though.

    • Worked as expected, could hear during car race
Buying these and an amplifier saved me a few bucks, and worked with no issues at the track. I bought two pairs of these to use with my scanner radio (Uniden BC 125 AT) for Indy car races. I didn't want to spring for the more expensive over the head sound proof headphones (especially for my sister who only comes to one race a year). I was worried that these would not be loud enough/ keep out the external noise. I used them with and without an amplifier/splitter. I was able to hear my race radio without the amplifier while cars were at full speed during the race, but that was with the volume at max. With the amplifier they worked great. I would recommend these to any one to use with scanner radios at Indy races. I do not know how different the volume levels are for NASCAR (I am assuming though that the cars are louder) so they may or may not be loud enough with out an amplifier. I gave them a four just because the yellow component that goes into your ear comes loose and call fall off. It pops right back on, but just be aware you might have to search for it in the bottom of a bag. ... show more
