I love the look of the chair and it works great. It’s very heavy though and will need someone strong to move it in and out of a vehicle. I had some trouble getting it to open up and contacted the number on the enclosed card. I only let the phone ring a few times before I hung up as I was going to call back at a better time. To my surprise… The seller contacted me via text to see if they could help. She then called me and I explained my problem. Within 10 minutes I was forwarded some instructions as well as a video and we got the chair up and running!! Fantastic customer service!!

I ordered this chair because I wanted somtething that I could operate totally myself and also could travel by plane with . The auto fold feature was essential for me and it worked beautifully. Customer service made sure that I had the right size battery to comply with airline regulations. They also were really responsive to any questions I had about operating it. For a few reasons I was not able to use the chair on my own--because of my mobility issues, not because of the product--and had to return it. Again, customer serice was great, they helped with the return process and it was smooth and easy and fast. For that reason in particular, I give it a 5.

Took mine out today for the first time. It's almost undrivable. The joystick is extremely unresponsive. Trying to maneuver on a SIDEWALK is like driving drunk. Any variations on the surface cause the chair to swerve. Pulling into my garage and trying to maneuver it to park and charge is an exercise in patience. When opened, one of the two batteries was hanging loose and I still don't know how to secure it. The foot rest is not big enough for my size 11 feet and my foot constantly hits the front wheels. I have not tried to go through the return process yet, and I dread it. I cannot recommend this chair.

Very maneuverable. Seems well built. Very comfortable and easy to use. Would love to know if I can charge both batteries at the same time. I am waiting for a call back from company to answer this question. Also wondering if there is a sturdy cup holder attachment available for this chair.

I am pleased with my new Rubicon wheelchair, the ride is smooth and steady; the controls are easy to use, My only suggestion for future models would be to widen the space between the front wheels. While the seat is a standard chair with of 18 inches, the space between the front wheels s too narrow, crowding the lower legs and making it difficult to get on or off the chair

My husband is a 77 year old veteran and the VA supplied a scooter some years ago, but it’s bulky and he wanted this chair to navigate around our senior independent apartment complex. Anyway, we had this huge box delivered and we were all excited assembling his new chair….etc. BUT the very next day FedEx arrived on our doorstep with another huge box containing the identical chair… I ran to check my bank account and there was a SECOND charge on our credit card! ($1,599.00) Our immediate response was “OMG” …. Ordering this on Amazon, the billing issue, even the geographical differences (we live in Fl and Rubicon is in California) this was going to be a logistical nightmare to get a refund! But to our pleasant surprise when we contacted Rubicon (they take messages and return their calls) Their response was immediate. We had at least a dozen phone contacts because FedEx kept screwing up the pick up times because we’re a gated community and the office was closed, etc. We dealt with a gentleman named Carlos, he was courteous and prompt returning our calls within an hour. So, even though it was an obvious error on their end, they corrected it with no hassles on our end. We received our refund last night. That’s why my review says “Excellent customer service”! And my husband is happy with his chair!//. …. I’m resubmitting my review… I don’t get the negative feedback… my husband has had his chair since last summer…. He uses it probably 1/2 dozen times a day taking the dog in and out… visiting neighbors, mail, etc. We load it up to take out to lunch, mall, doctors, etc. (it is heavier than anticipated/ approx 80 lbs) we get assistance loading it. It’s been a game changer for him staying independent.

The Rubicon electric wheelchair is an excellent mobility device. It unfolds and folds itself and is easy to operate. Automatic braking makes operation very safe because it won't go anywhere unless the operator drives it there. A minor drawback is the chairs weight. You know you are lifting something when you load or remove the chair from a vehicle.

The unit works, but getting the chair to open up with the controller on the unit is sketchy at best. The hand held controller works best. But if you leave the hand held at home you at at the mercy of the unit controller. If you are interested in customer service you are in for a shock. They have a phone number to call that NO ONE will answer. The company website is no better. If you need parts you are screwed. I sold this one and bought from the jazzy store. Much better venue to buy fro.from. They have good customer service.
