Excellent Customer Service/ UPDATE
My husband is a 77 year old veteran and the VA supplied a scooter some years ago, but it’s bulky and he wanted this chair to navigate around our senior independent apartment complex. Anyway, we had this huge box delivered and we were all excited assembling his new chair….etc. BUT the very next day FedEx arrived on our doorstep with another huge box containing the identical chair… I ran to check my bank account and there was a SECOND charge on our credit card! ($1,599.00) Our immediate response was “OMG” …. Ordering this on Amazon, the billing issue, even the geographical differences (we live in Fl and Rubicon is in California) this was going to be a logistical nightmare to get a refund! But to our pleasant surprise when we contacted Rubicon (they take messages and return their calls) Their response was immediate. We had at least a dozen phone contacts because FedEx kept screwing up the pick up times because we’re a gated community and the office was closed, etc. We dealt with a gentleman named Carlos, he was courteous and prompt returning our calls within an hour. So, even though it was an obvious error on their end, they corrected it with no hassles on our end. We received our refund last night. That’s why my review says “Excellent customer service”! And my husband is happy with his chair!//. …. I’m resubmitting my review… I don’t get the negative feedback… my husband has had his chair since last summer…. He uses it probably 1/2 dozen times a day taking the dog in and out… visiting neighbors, mail, etc. We load it up to take out to lunch, mall, doctors, etc. (it is heavier than anticipated/ approx 80 lbs) we get assistance loading it. It’s been a game changer for him staying independent.

Comfortable to sit in for longer times.
Good in the house and in the yard and even on gravel. Some what touchy on carpet on turning.

Keep looking, don't recommend
Took mine out today for the first time. It's almost undrivable. The joystick is extremely unresponsive. Trying to maneuver on a SIDEWALK is like driving drunk. Any variations on the surface cause the chair to swerve. Pulling into my garage and trying to maneuver it to park and charge is an exercise in patience. When opened, one of the two batteries was hanging loose and I still don't know how to secure it. The foot rest is not big enough for my size 11 feet and my foot constantly hits the front wheels. I have not tried to go through the return process yet, and I dread it. I cannot recommend this chair.

Great support from customer service!!!
I love the look of the chair and it works great. It’s very heavy though and will need someone strong to move it in and out of a vehicle. I had some trouble getting it to open up and contacted the number on the enclosed card. I only let the phone ring a few times before I hung up as I was going to call back at a better time. To my surprise… The seller contacted me via text to see if they could help. She then called me and I explained my problem. Within 10 minutes I was forwarded some instructions as well as a video and we got the chair up and running!! Fantastic customer service!!

looks great but a lot of disappointments
I really needed this - my first wheelchair. I've had it for 3 days so these are my first thoughts - more to come I'm sure. I've looked at a lot of these and I wanted to avoid the Chinese products. Rubicon's statement that they were proud to be an American company won me over... The box arrived - on one side, in large characters was printed MADE IN CHINA!! To put it kindly; I was really ####### disappointed! First look: The remote is not at all intuitive! It does work if you can figure out the right combination of buttons. after 2 days I still feel that it's a matter of luck to get it to work. After the first ride I realized that the battery was basically dead. After an overnight charge it ran well - on a flat sidewalk. " Operate this motorized wheelchair in grass, gravel, or snow ......" I was hoping this would allow me to work in our large garden. There is a downhill gravel drive to get there - no, it won't even move downhill on gravel! I pulled over to bark mulch and it was smooth riding - downhill only. On grass, it was fine though I didn't have a slope to try it on. The wheels lack grip. I will add to this after a week. the original charge on the battery was lower than expected. After an overnight charge, I was surprised at the improvement. My wife walks regularly and I went with her on about a 1 1/2 mile "walk". We have some pretty good hills in the neighborhood and the chare took them like a champ. I haven't tried the garden yet, but I expect improvement. I'm not expecting much on the gravel. Rubicon Mobility sent me a well printed and illustrated (English) user's manual which was appreciated. I now have also a 6' ramp to put the chair in my minivan. The chair runs up the ramp like it was going home!

$1,600 wasted!!!
Received in Dec 2025. Just replaced the left side motor for the third time since April. I love the chair itself but there is definitely an issue with motors. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing until they get that figured out and get better customer service/communication. This third motor they sent was obviously a used motor.

Great chair!
Very maneuverable. Seems well built. Very comfortable and easy to use. Would love to know if I can charge both batteries at the same time. I am waiting for a call back from company to answer this question. Also wondering if there is a sturdy cup holder attachment available for this chair.

Customer service for this product was a big 5 star!
I ordered this chair because I wanted somtething that I could operate totally myself and also could travel by plane with . The auto fold feature was essential for me and it worked beautifully. Customer service made sure that I had the right size battery to comply with airline regulations. They also were really responsive to any questions I had about operating it. For a few reasons I was not able to use the chair on my own--because of my mobility issues, not because of the product--and had to return it. Again, customer serice was great, they helped with the return process and it was smooth and easy and fast. For that reason in particular, I give it a 5.
