Description

Are these good for outdoor steps that get wet? Yes. Thunder Grip rubber stair treads are designed for outdoor steps exposed to rain, snow, and heat. They help improve traction on wet wood, concrete, deck, porch, and patio stairs. Outdoors, secure every tread; loose treads can shift. Do these outdoor stair treads work on wood and concrete steps? Yes. Use them on wooden steps, concrete stairs, deck, garage, basement stairs, patios, porches, and entryways. Place them on a clean, dry, flat surface. Outdoors, secure every tread: screws with washers on wood, exterior adhesive on concrete. Do I need adhesive or screws to install these stair treads? For outdoor stairs, yes, we recommend securing every tread, as loose treads can shift on wet, snowy or icy steps. On wood, use exterior screws with washers. On concrete, use exterior-grade adhesive. Indoors, they can be laid loose if they stay flat. Can I cut these rubber stair treads to fit smaller steps? Yes. The rubber material can be cut to fit smaller or narrower steps. Measure carefully, mark your cut line, and use a sharp utility knife or heavy-duty scissors for a cleaner fit. Keep the front lip intact. Will these last in cold weather? Yes, the rubber is made for year-round outdoor use. Treads do not melt or prevent ice. Clear snow with a plastic shovel, use a deicer suited to your surface and safe for rubber, and check under the edges after freeze-thaw and heavy rain.
