These stair tread are very useful. They feel like felt, not a rug, but work great. They aren't fancy. We have painted wooden steps leading to our unfinished basement. We wear socks a lot in our house. So, descending down the stairs in socks can be slippery and these solve that problem. I stuck them close to the edge. The backs are fully stickable, plus they come with tape that I didn't need. There are no instructions. I started at one side by pulling the plastic cover off of about 4 inches off the tread, stuck it to the step and then peeled the plastic cover off as I secured the tread to the step. Installation took me 20 minutes.

We bought these to make wood stairway to basement safer for us and our small dogs. Even without the tape, the backing is tacky enough that it would have probably stayed, but we also purchased double-sided tape to help it stay put. The tape included with the stair treads was very narrow and difficult to remove the backing, plus not very sticky. So far the carpet treads look great and are performing well. I was pleased with how thick the carpet was. It seems durable. It isn't rough like indoor/outdoor carpet can be. This kind is comfortable for bare feet, not scratchy.

These were the perfect fix to my slippery wooden stairs! Not only are they aesthetically pleasing to my home design but they are functional. The padding adds additional comfort as you walk up and down the stairs along with traction. These are a great option if you do not want a full runner but you need safety for pets, children, and elderly. They were easy to install and can easily be pulled up if you need to reposition them. I also was able to easily vacuum them without them coming up. Grab them now!

Very easy to install. They look nice but seems to not last as long as I would like. Cleaning is also difficult as any decent vacuum will pull the carpet off. I ended up using a handheld vacuum as its suction power isn’t as strong as an upright. My whole purpose for the purchase was to help my senior dog not slip down the stairs and for that, these have been great, they allow her to safely navigate the stairs. So the function perfectly for that.

Dog hair magnets! The tape provided is only enough for a few runners. The self adhesive is a joke, it sticks very well to the plastic provided but after that, not enough to hold them to the stairs, we purchased carpet tape to hold them down, which sticks to the wood stairs better than these runners plastic backing. The corners curl so tape the corner edges well. They look amazing, but we will not purchase these again.

These worked great for my steps after a recent move. I got them so my dog could go up/down the stairs without doing a whole carpet runner. Took 10 minutes to put on & it’s been about a month now without any noticeable peeling. He doesn’t slip down the stairs anymore & they seem to hold up well. This was the most fair priced one I could find, and I’m happy with the quality.

Perfect! The width and height was perfect. They help with slip resistance, they haven’t moved an inch. The color was true to color & super comfortable to step on as the quality is great. A little bit difficult to clean with a vacuum, a lint roller does the trick.
