The screen is remarkably clear, with strong brightness and vivid colors. Navigation and other information are easily visible, even in bright light. There is a high level of touch sensitivity, seamless swipe transitions. It is more than sufficient for daily operations with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The system runs incredibly well; there are no noticeable lags when navigating, playing music, or switching between apps. Android Auto and Wireless CarPlay are unquestionably my favorite features. I do not need a data cord because my phone instantly connects when I get in the car. Voice assistants, music, calls, and navigation may all be directly synced with the car's display, making driving much more convenient. It is useful for weekend excursions or daily commutes because the GPS navigation responds fast and provides accurate route recommendations. When playing music, the Bluetooth 5.4 connection stays steady and offers crystal-clear audio for calls with little latency or disconnections. The steering wheel controls operate flawlessly; there is no need to learn a new system because volume adjustment and track changes may still be controlled using the existing car buttons even after the upgrade. When backing up, the built-in 1080P rearview camera makes it easier to see what is behind the vehicle.     • Excellent Big-Screen Upgrade for My 2007 Ram 1500
I installed this stereo in my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 to replace the original factory radio, and the 11.5-inch screen completely changed the feel of the center dash. It is a large display, but it fits the truck well and makes navigation and media controls much easier to see. Wireless CarPlay connected to my iPhone quickly and has been reliable for maps, calls, messages, and music. I also like having the wired option available when I want to charge my phone during a longer drive. The Android system runs smoothly with 4GB of RAM, and the 64GB of storage gives me plenty of room for offline maps, music, and a few additional apps. Connecting through my phone’s hotspot also worked well for online navigation. Bluetooth calls have been clear, and both the AM and FM radio work well with my usual local stations. The larger screen makes it easy to move between radio, Bluetooth, navigation, and CarPlay without feeling cramped. The steering-wheel controls continued working after setup, which helped the stereo feel properly integrated with the truck. I also like having multiple interface themes so I could choose a layout that felt less busy. The included 1080P backup camera is especially useful on a full-size pickup. The screen switches to the rear view automatically when I shift into reverse, and the large display makes parking or lining up with a trailer much easier. Overall, I’m very happy with this upgrade. A behemoth of a screen 11.5" and those dimensions are accurate (I measured). Great image quality, including for the backup camera. Easy to install and great connectivity. Have had absolutely zero issues with this product. Navigation, music, and phone work as intended. The sound quality is also very good. Much better than I expected. I installed this ApexNav stereo in my older Dodge Ram and have been pleasantly surprised by how much more useful the dash feels now. The 11.5-inch screen is large and easy to see, especially when using navigation or checking the backup camera. The touchscreen has been responsive for everyday use, and the interface is fairly easy to learn. Wireless CarPlay is probably the feature I use the most. My phone connects without needing a cable, and I can access navigation, music, calls, and messages right from the stereo. Bluetooth calling and music streaming have also worked well for me. The 5G Wi-Fi is handy when I want to use online maps or other apps directly on the unit. I also appreciate the built-in GPS and the ability to adjust the EQ. The sound gives me considerably more flexibility than the original factory radio. The included backup camera provides a useful view when reversing, particularly on a full-size pickup. Installation wasn't something I would call completely effortless, but the vehicle-specific setup and included wiring made the process manageable. I’d definitely verify the exact year, factory radio configuration, and connections before ordering. Overall, this has been a very worthwhile upgrade for my Ram. Usually these ApexNav systems are something of a challenge in terms of installation. Either the harnesses are just barely long enough, they're too stiff, or the radio unit itself doesn't want to slot in the way it should without finagling. This one was a really welcome change, and installed in less than 20 minutes with no hiccups. Same functionality as all the other ApexNav systems - full GPS, a backup camera, a nice radio that delivers proper power to your audio system, and full CarPlay functionality that connects seamlessly in less than a minute. The biggest win here is the price. Any Chrysler product tries to get you in terms of trying to replace the OEM tech with anything else. This guy comes in at about half of the next lowest cost smart radio upgrade you can find on the market. Incredible value for money. ... show more
