These wrought matte iron handrails were exactly what we needed to comply with FHA guidelines, and they turned out looking great. The finish is sleek and modern, and the rails feel very sturdy once installed. They not only met the safety requirement but also added a nice visual upgrade to the space. Solid quality and a professional look at a good price. If you are not handy, you may want someone to help install. They will be loose without proper installation. Screw hardware came included. We used them on stairs coming into the house from the garage.

I liked that it was easy to assemble but not so easy to install in concrete. The concrete lag bolts were very cheap. No drill bit size was given to drill into concrete. I had to go online to find that out. Even with the correct hole size the lag bolts had to be hammered into the drilled hole and it would bend or dis form the threaded bolt. There was no mention of how deep to drill the holes and very difficult to remove from hole once installed if not deep enough. I would still buy one again but would go to a hardware store and purchase a 3/8” redhead lag bolt and also the lag bolt install tool so as not to deform threaded portion of the lag bolt. When you buy a redhead lag bolt the drill bit size for the hole and its depth is shown on packaging. Also the rail is a painted rail and not powder coated. It scratches very easily. Ours tipped over on to concrete while installing and got severely scratched. We used a black touch up paint marker to cover up the scratches. It looked nice and felt sturdy once installed.

Bought the handrail for my 90 year old mother's steps going to the garage. They it looks nice and works very well and was easy to install. I did not use the plastic anchors since I was drilling into bricks, I used the Tapcon screws that do not require the plastic anchors. I liked the handrail well enough that I have ordered another one for another set of steps at her house. It appears to be good quality and it is very surdy.

I wanted to really like this product but it falls a bit short of great. All the pieces seem well made and it was easy to assemble and attach to my outside wall. The base plate and the rail are hefty and appear sturdy, but once attached, it is not as stable as I would like (or as other similar items have been). The metal base plate is firmly attached to the wall, but the two bolts that attach the rail to the base plate are fairly short, and even when tightened, they do not hold the body of the rail firmly. It waggles to and fro a bit, which is disappointing. It is still useful and I will apply this by some utility room steps that I use, but are rarely used by others. I would not want others to feel unsafe when it moves a bit when they grip the rail.
