This item requires quite a bit of assembly, and as with any product you've got to be careful to use the right fasteners in the right places. The assembly instructions were good if not great, but if you pay attention it should go together correctly the first time. In my experience, anything requiring a significant amount of assembly is bound to have something off...maybe pieces that are supposed to fit together don't, maybe some of the fasteners are missing or are too short, maybe the instructions look like they were written by someone in a terrible hurry who can neither draw nor articulate anything clearly (as though they have never assembled anything in their life). THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH THIS ITEM. Everything DID fit together, all of the parts and fasteners were there, were the right fit, came with the needed tools and all were easily identifiable by the illustrations. THANK YOU VIVOSUN! Certainly cost effective (4 stairs) and looks fine. Easy installation but scratches very easily. I do not think this is powder coated. Wood screws could be a little bigger as well in width, may need to replace those, we see how it goes.
