    • Still has easy exploit, otherwise it's not bad.
I generally like the lockbox and it seems to be functioning as intended. The "reprogram while locked" exploit is still present. They put a rubber plug over the programming button but the plug can be flipped out by using a stronger probe. I've put some black electrical tape over the plug in mine after programming everything, hoping to make using that exploit more difficult. Why they don't do like Vaultek and remove that exploit through the firmware is silly. There's also a key lock which can possibly be picked pretty easy by novice lock pickers as shown on YouTube on one of their other models. I did try getting a generic RFID card approved, but the box wouldn't do it. Maybe that has been corrected or maybe my low frequency card isn't compatible. It is a nice little lock box but it's still easily exploitable, so think about what you want it for and maybe pass if you need a higher level of security rather than just privacy ... show more

    • Better than an unlocking Glovebox
Hidden under seat. I did not need a DOJ CA approved gun safe, but now we have options. My vehicle does not have a locking glove box and this is an answer to providing a lockable place to store vehicle registration & the FasTrak pass & garage door opener & any other items deemed valuable. The 3 keypad buttons only is apparently to keep the cost down, but more numbers would be nice to have. I looked at several key only locking safes, but decided to try the RPNB safe even though I do not like the 1 year only warranty. Amazon did not offer an extended warranty which makes me feel concerned regarding the reliability of this safe after the 1 year warranty period is over. Therefore, the 4 star rating. ... show more

    • Great value small single gun safe
well made from sturdy materials. Surprising quality for the inexpensive price. The user programable combination was easy to accomplish. The two fob's didn't happen after a couple attempts. I threw them away, didn't think I'd use them anyway.

This safe is perfect for what I need it for. I love that I have 3 options to open it. Setting up the safe is easy. Just make sure you only press the program button and not hold it down for the 2 seconds like they say in the instructions.

Only complaint is the finish is smooth making it a little difficult to open, may try some skateboard tape on the lid .

The media could not be loaded. I mounted this safe in a cabinet on my head board of the bed. It is nice to be able to get my pistol fast with 3 different ways of opening the safe. I highly recommend this product to anyone that needs something small,slim, convenient and safe. One important thing I found out is you need to buy quality batteries otherwise the motor that turns to unlock the safe does not get enough power and can jam.
