I've had this safe for a few days now and so far everything is working as it should. Set up fingerprints with no problem, access code with no problem, set up the app with an Android phone and that is working as it should as well. The key with setting up the app with an Android phone is to make sure Bluetooth and location are both on, otherwise it won't work. It's a really nice heavy duty safe and it opens virtually immediately with any of the methods you choose to open it. It's plenty big enough for my purposes and it's nicely padded all the way around the inside. Another cool feature is the date and time and battery level. When you set up the app it automatically sets the date and time for you so you don't need to manually do it. It obviously syncs the date and time from your phone to the safe. There's a lot of technology built into this safe and app. If anything changes I'll update this review, but so far I couldn't be more impressed and pleased with this purchase. I did have some questions before I purchased this safe so I reached out to customer service and they were very responsive with answering all my questions. I'm just really impressed with everything about the safe and customer service, couldn't ask for more. Edit/Update: I just want to comment on some other reviewers that are having problems. The default when the safe is new is for any fingerprint to open the safe. You absolutely must set an administrator fingerprint to secure the safe for specific biometric fingerprint access. Also, one of the really great features of this particular safe is that you have to scan your fingerprint six times before it will take. That is a huge Plus, don't buy a biometric safe that only requires three scans. When you scan your fingerprint six times, you should turn your finger slightly each time and move it up and down slightly in different positions. That way your fingerprint doesn't have to be in the exact same position each time. It's a fantastic feature and it works flawlessly. I opted for the larger version of this safe as, among other additional features, this one has dual latches instead of just one. Update 2: I've been using this safe for about 6 weeks now and I open it at least three or four times a day, the vast majority of time using only a finger tip scan. Sometimes I use the six digit code just to check that functionality. I fully charged it when I got it and it is still showing that the battery is fully charged, very impressive. And it's still working as it should, absolutely no issues at all.

This safe is AMAZING. Beyond super easy to set up the passcode and fingerprint. Fingerprint opens FAST! You also have the 6-digit key code option with numbers 0 thru 9 to choose from. Comes with two mechanical keys, a rechargeable lithium ion battery and a security cable. The photo you see shows a solid plastic full-sized training/dummy pistol instead of a real firearm to showcase just how much room is in there; plenty for spare mags and cartridge boxes! By far the BEST and MOST room in a nightstand firearm safe while getting the most "bang" for your buck. A MUST own for new firearm owners who want to protect their investment and keep it out of the wrong hands... and with this price? you can't go wrong!

I bought the safe about one month ago. It was easy to configure, I just downloaded the app and paired it with my phone. After that it is pretty straight forward to set the passwords for the phone, remote opening and keypad for the device. The fingerprints are easy to store as well and so far work well. I would suggest setting up the main fingers you use twice in order to capture different angles. I did both index fingers and thumbs once initially but noticed that when I configured it my fingers were on a fairly flat angle, so it wouldn't always give me access on the first try. I added a 2nd scan for each finger using a more vertical angle and that solved the issue and made it more forgiving. It is not quite as big as I though it was either, it really only fits one gun and a few mags unless you stack them or have smaller carry guns. The 2 guns I have in it are a Walther PDP and a HK VP9 Tactical. I will probably end up purchasing a 2nd one to put in a different location so the one on my nightstand can be accessed quickly if need be. It is very sturdy, and the top opens up nicely making it easy to access your firearm quickly.

One night I awoke to a loud THUMP as the front door hit the end of the security latch to stop the door from completely opening. The house alarm sounded and instantly I knew someone was trying to come through the front door into our family's sanctuary. My heart was racing as I came from dreamland to reality. Within seconds I was trying to open my gun safe by pressing all 7 digits into the keypad as fast as possible, and if you incorrectly input one of the numbers, you got it, you have to start over. Trust me, under high stress, it felt like an eternity to get across the bedroom, punch in the code numbers, open the safe, and grab my firearm as a first responder. After this experience, I learn a lot of the "Do's and Don'ts". I decided that I never wanted to be put in the situation again of not getting to my firearm quickly. So I bought this safe, and it has been a great night stand safe for a firearm that is within arms length at night. The best feature is the fingerprint option to open it quickly. Now I have peace of mind that the firearm is inaccessible from the children, but quickly accessible for me or my wife if the need arises again. If you are looking for a safe when things go THUMP in the night, this is the one to buy. For transparency, I did have a problem with the security cable so I contacted the company. They were very quick to respond and rectified the problem promptly and respectfully. Kudos to the great customer service. Thanks Sally!
