After receiving this mounted gun safe, the first impression was "stability". The entire box gives a very solid impression. The thick steel plate and the sturdy frame make it firmly fixed to the wall. The interior space layout is reasonable and suitable for storing pistols and some accessories. Its manufacturing quality is reflected in every detail, from the fasteners to the internal padding, all demonstrating the manufacturer's dedication. The box body is thick and heavy, made of solid materials, and the welding and assembly techniques are both quite good, giving people a very reliable feeling. The installation process went smoothly and it was very stable after being fixed. It offers multiple unlocking methods. I chose the combination of password and fingerprint, which is very flexible. Ease of opening, whether it is a combination lock or fingerprint lock, the opening is very smooth, no lagging feeling. Fingerprint recognition is highly accurate and responsive. so far so good. have had this under my desk for nearly 6 months and it has been good. easy to use, fast to get into. holds my carry glock 43x with a steamlight light and optic securely. my only complaint is the mount. i wish it was 1/8 inch plate. the mount is secure enough for kids. which is why i have it under my desk at home. but the mount could be a bit more rigid. i think i may make a new mount for mine out of plate. overall this is a great value compared to the larger brand name storage solutions. on a side note, i would like to emphasize it is VERY quick to get into. i can open and have it present my firearm in the time it takes me to get out of my chair in one motion.

The locking part of the case is very sturdy, and the keyhole and combination disc are treated to be pry-proof. The ease of opening is equally satisfactory. The media could not be loaded. It works well. Mounting it is a PITA as you have to access screws inside the box to mount it. Also changing the batteries is a PITA as it's awkward to reach into the box to get at the battery, and it's halfway in the box. Having said that, of course the mounting and battery compartment should be INSIDE the box. But just pointing out it's a bit of a pain for when you mount it and when you have to change batteries. It also comes with a round lock. I'm sure people will say that any good thief can easily pick any lock or defeat any electronic lock. Yes, sure, so concealment of the safe is important. However it will definitely keep visitors from opening it. And especially children who are over will not open it. You can teach your own kids gun safety, but you can't teach every friend who comes over. Also you want it to be discrete anyway so they shouldn't stumble on it, even if they are playing hide and seek and thing hiding behind your bed is a good idea. I added a video so you could hear that even with the button beeps off, the opening mechanism is not silent, it makes a whirring sound. Not a huge deal. It opens fast, as you can see. Punching in the wrong combo locks you out for a short time (less than a minute) What I don't like is that at the front the RPNB logo is very shiny and makes it obvious. Not that everyone knows what RPNB means, but the shininess does draw your eye to the logo and thus the safe. I colored mine in with a black sharpy, but since it is sort of embossed onto a small plate it's still visible. Some electrical tape would fix that. All in all, it does what it's supposed to. Allow you to store a pistol discretely and safely. It is CA DOJ approved too, so that's nice considering the new safe storage laws coming into effect in California in 2025. I don't know if it's visible in my video, but I found that after mounting the safe, there was a bit of wiggle between the safe and the mounting plate. I fixed that by cutting a piece of the shipping box that the safe came in and crammed it next to the safe. A temporary fix made permanent.
