The media could not be loaded. This is a truly remarkable device. I've used irons and small cheap handheld steamers, as well as as steamer stand that you had to drag around. This really outperforms and replaces all of them. The device is from Rowenta, a German company that has made wonderful irons for decades. But irons just seem like a lot of work: Have to set up the board and reposition a shirt multiple ways just to get the collar creases to come out. And inevitably, water drips out all over the shirt, which really isn't a problem for most fabrics but I hate it. I want to get the creases out, get the shirt on and onto a Zoom call for work without a wet shirt. This steamer resolves every issue I have: You just fill the reservoir with tap water (not distilled or purified), plug it in, hit the power button, set your preferred steam intensity, and within a less than a minute, it's ready. Pull the trigger to release steam, release to stop it. The delay is only a second or two. And at its highest setting, the steam is INTENSE. It's not just a little pfffft. It's a blast of continuous steam. When trying it out on a shirt with a particularly persnickety collar, it made short work of it without even having to make contact with the collar itself. I could have pressed the ironing plate of the steamer to the collar, but didn't have to. Amazing. The reservoir is good sized, but for me, it was about one refill per shirt or so. But it's so easy to refill with tap water, and so quick to turn it into steam, there really is no lag when steaming multiple items. The steamer is also heavier and larger than expected. It's definitely not an item you'd throw into a suitcase and take on a trip, but you could if you wanted to. This product actually is one of those rare things that feels underpriced, when compared with all the other handheld steamers on the market. The build quality is superior to those as well. It lives up to the Rowenta brand name. If it were possible, I'd give this 6 stars. Highly recommended. ... show more

You know how when you meet a stranger accidentally, start talking, and you immediately become best friends? That's how this steamer is. It's AMAZING. Wow. Moving along... the only drycleaner in our area charges $13 just for a simple shirt, when I'm accustomed to paying no more than $4. I have a LOT of dry clean only clothes. I saw on a forum that many fashionistas use a steamer between wears, reducing the need to dry clean to only a couple times per season, or if you get a spot or stain. So I decided to give it a go with this Rowenta steamer. The instructions of this German-made device were very well-written, clear, and easy to read and understand. If you've used a steamer before, it would probably be very intuitive to use. I was surprised that it said NOT to use distilled water, as it was manufactured to be used with tap water- so that's a huge plus. The reservoir is easy to pop out, fill, and place back, and is held securely. The steamer is very sturdy, but not overly heavy, but I don't recommend doing all your clothes at once like I did...lol. When you turn it on, it only takes about 30 seconds or so for it to be hot enough to be ready to go. I started off by doing my shirt that I did a long run in, in the hot southern sun. CW... TMI... I could smell the stench of my sweat coming out! I went over the worst areas a couple times, and the odor disappeared! I ended up doing a silk top, shorts, and dress. They ended up being refreshed and wrinkle free, super fast! I love that I didn't have to iron separately. I still had just under half the water left in the reservoir. This is a HUGE money saver, and at the price of ~$59, a great investment for anyone! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The Rowenta Pure Force 2in1 Steamer & Iron is an impressive clothes steamer that doubles as a small-size traditional iron. It works great, heats up quickly, heavy duty cord is long and auto shutoff works, I tested it. The powerful 1875 watt motor has a low rumble with five steam/heat settings for delicate - durable fabrics. It does drip water as is typical for steam appliances. It uses trigger action to steam and can be set to stay pulled. Reservoir was easy to clip in but difficult to pull out, I used a skinny edge to assist. *Note it uses fresh tap water only. No need to buy or make purified water. Soleplate is smooth, doesn't catch on fabric, has 300 active holes, steam comes out with force. Is a bit heavy at just under 3 lbs, so while portable, is not really a travel steamer/iron. Here's my take: steaming removes minor wrinkles, an iron presses. I got it for the steamer function but prefer it as an iron. Is a bit heavy for extended periods of steaming, it works well enough but thought it would be better. I have to do several passes to get results on lightweight fabrics at a higher setting. I did not take off a star as I am not an expert w/steaming techniques and possibly certain fabrics don't respond well to steam and need to be pressed. The small iron however is a dream come true for ironing sleeves, cuffs, collars, placket; is easy to maneuver into small areas. My old steamer crapped out, so it was time for a new one. This steam/iron combo far surpasses my old one by far in terms of looks, quality, and function. First, the instructions explicitly state that distilled water does not need to be used, which is awesome. Saves time and money. Second, this thing heats up very quickly. I would say that it takes less than a minute to heat up. It also work very well, and I was able to steam both dress pants and a blouse within a few minutes. I used the iron function briefly and was impressed, as well. The water from the steamer part does not come out, and it works well.
