We are full-time travel trailer dwellers. I purchased this heater less than a year ago to save money and compliment the trailers non efficient propane furnace and my workhorse duraflame electric fireplace in the bedroom. Within a few weeks while I was in the other room, the glass on the front of the unit suddenly without warrant shattered. I notified the company about the issue who offered me a refund. I accepted but asked for the money to go to a digital Amazon Amazon gift card or onto a different debit card because my eBay Account had just been hacked. They agreed, and I never received a cent. Since the unit worked and I could could adjust settings etc. I went ahead and used it. It's now 10 months since I bought it and it no longer blows warm air. Just blows cold. Meanwhile, my 5 year old duraflame electric fireplace just goes and goes like a champ. Save your money. Get the Duraflame. Sorry I even looked at this unit. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I purchased the 30” heater, for a small space (approximately 100sqft) and it arrived today. It was simple to install on the wall, involving a total of 9 screws. Note: two of the screws require a screwdriver or a drill extension. The heater immediately warmed the room, with the door open. The blower is almost silent. I will try to make this short but I am very happy with this unit and it was by far the most cost efficient model I could find. First... my wife has been dragging around an old fireplace mantle for 14 years and when we purchased a condo in Florida she was going to put it up against a wall and put a plant in the middle. I thought I could do something a little more unique. In all the reviews for this LED fireplace that I looked at people simply hung this unit on a wall and it sticks out 5 1/2 to 6 inches because the heater is in on the bottom of the unit (I did mention we are in Florida so the use of the heater is not that important but maybe one day it will get cold). I built a platform and slapped a wood panel against the back of the mantle. I placed peel and stick stone tile on the back and placed granite tile for a hearth. I then hung the fireplace unit on a sliding drawer type stand that I created so that it could be flush against the stone front when not in use and when using just the fire effect, but because it lifts the unit about 6 inches up you can slide the unit out and run the heater over the granite tile if you want a little warmth. It took a week or so for me to figure out how to design the drawer slide in just the right manner and my wife had her doubts while it was in progress. However, we are both very happy with the final product and this unit will now let us have a realistic fire in our fireplace 12 months a year in Florida. With heat or without heat. Just one last note...this unit does not have a remote but with the drawer slides it is easy to turn on and off by using the controls on the side of the unit. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a good quality electric fireplace. I really didn’t expect it to look this good especially at this price point. It’s perfect for my small space. (about the length of a 32” TV) The lights are fun and the artificial wood looks realistic. It took me some time to put it up as I did it myself with no help, but putting it together was straightforward and instructions are easy to follow. It’s also quiet. Noise level is very low to none. I can’t comment on the heater, because I haven’t turned it on and I probably won’t use it at all. Overall I would say, if you’re thinking about buying this electric fireplace, do it, you won’t be discontented—Highly recommend! *don’t mind the TV cords, I tried* ... show more

I bought it as a filler until we can get our wood fireplace repaired and fit for use. It’s in the den which is pretty large and it heats well. It’s lovely to look at without the heat as well. My only problem is, I can’t control the thermostat at all. The buttons on the heater don’t change the temp from 72°, and the remote will not turn the heater on or off, nor will it change the temp. I originally bought this to hang on a sliding barn door to have something nicer to look at than the toilet/bathroom door, but then I moved into a rental. I thought I wouldn't be able to use it and then discovered that it comes with legs and can be used as a free-standing fireplace. It is PERFECT for my apartment and just having the flames on makes the room FEEL warmer and cozier without even turning on the heat option! There are nearly a dozen color options, three flame levels, the option to have it blow out heat like a space heater (thermostat and three power levels), AND you have the option of either having 'logs' in the bottom or clear glass-like crystals to customize the way you want it to look. I have not used this yet. But I did take it out of the Box and make sure it works. I particularly like the fact that the heat comes out the bottom. The compact size is a plus because I'll be using it in a bedroom to take the chill off. If there is a reason I will update ny review after using it for a while. Right now it seems to be perfect. UPDATE - This helps to take the chill off but it wouldn't work well if it was the only heat source. It also adds to the electric bill significantly. ... show more

I really am surprised about this. Set up on stand and pretty sturdy. If i needed it on a table i would trust it. I ended up hanging it on the wall. Pretty easy wall install. The side lights I am not sure what they are for. Maybe these would be useful if it was recessed. Plenty of options for lighting on flames and logs. Although I am not sure what green flames and blue logs would be used for. I was hoping for a little bit more heat. The heat is felt up to about two feet then thats about it. The only real problem i have, or wish it had, is a physical on/off switch. This way the logs could be controlled by Alexa. Overall, I am happy with this.
