Description

The 2018-2021 Mustang 5.0L V8 Cold Air Kit is more efficient air intake than the standard stock airbox. Cold air induction allows for latent potential in power and fuel efficiency that would otherwise be restricted, as well as providing reduced pressure drop. A custom tune is not required as this CAI system was engineered and tested specifically for this application, ensuring MAF signal performance matches factory settings. Included is an innovative airbox lid with see-through lens. The dry filter is proven to retain its shape under high airflow, and is composed of an inner and outer layer of wire mesh for durability and reliable support of filtration media. The filter requires no oiling and is easily washable for re-use. Included in the kit is the air filter with clamp, injection-molded lower airbox/tray with installed EPDM foam hood seal, blow-molded clean air tubes, and all required mounting hardware. The kit utilizes all factory emissions and vacuum lines. Factory mounting locations and hardware are utilized to allow for quick and easy installation. This Cold Air Intake Kit fits 2018-2021 Mustang GT 5.0L.

Easy installation. Good look. Throttle response a little better. Sound a little meaner. Watch out for the nut on the firewall when removing the OEM secondary air intake.

This Roush Performance CAI was very easy to intall once the facotry system was removed. I dropped one star for two reasons: First, they could have provided paper instructions in the box, or at the very least the template for trimming the engine cover. You have to download them and print the template. Which took me a couple tries to get the scale correct on the template. Take your time cutting the engine cover if you want a clean, professional install. Second, it could have some rubber seals, or at least tighter fitting parts where the intake tube connects to the airbox. There was also a scuff on the clear section of the lid. I'm sure I can polish it out with headlight lens polish. Would be nice if a blue colored filter was an option. Overall, even without a custom tune, there was a noticeable increase in throttle response. ... show more

Increased my low end torque and that increased the local drive mileage per gallon by a little over a mile per gallon. No ECU re-programming done as I would loose the warranty my new GT Tang. I got it installed at the dealer ship. Recovered my money in about six months after install. Its been 15 K miles already after the install and the cold air intake works great. ... show more

This worked great! I decided not to cut, and this is what it came out to look like. I like it! Looks cleaner to me. I’ll just take the engine cover off when I need to change the filter, takes two seconds. Hope this helps!
