I was a little worried when I saw the photo...I figured they can't be as good as they look...but wow, these are pretty much perfect. My 8 year old son opened the box and pulled the pieces out and I was stunned...there were 5 pieces per stool -- base, lever, pole that does the rising, base of seat and the seat. I figured we were missing parts. But literally, all you have to do is screw in 4 screws using the included allen wrench, pop the base into the level and you are good. It took about 3 minutes per chair. They wiped clean (although they came packaged perfectly clean). They are heavy and won't tip over, the photo is exactly what they look like - shiny chrome, white vinyl seats. My son LOVES them. They can pass for modern or vintage 60's style, depending on your decorating taste. I still can't believe we got these for $65 total WITH shipping. I can't recommend these enough. Get them. Get them NOW.

My husband and I were looking for some modern looking stools at a very good price... These definitely fit the bill. We are very happy with them. However, I know I didn't buy the highest quality so my review is based on that. If you'd like to know the nitty gritty, here goes: The ink from any dark pair of pants rubs off on the white faux leather. I can easily wipe it off with a Clorox (or off brand) disinfectant wipe. Most of the ink comes right off. Also, the air lift is more pressurized on one stool and the other is less pressurized. Also, only a few days after having them, I could see the four heads of the bolts that attach the seat to the chrome support under the faux leather. A lot of people say they are uncomfortable to sit in after about 30 minutes... I don't know if I agree, but I'm also a small person so that may be why. I'd say that's the sum of our experience. Overall, I'm very happy... If I had paid more than approx $35 for each stool, I would be unhappy but you get what you pay for and good quality stools are extremely expensive.

Easy to put together and works like a charm. At first the pumps to adjust the height of the stools weren't working, but I wasn't too mad because they were cheap and was a good height for the bar table I got (which it goes perfectly with by the way: Roundhill Furniture Adjustable Height Wood and Chrome Metal Bar Table, Black ). They're comfortable and I love them a lot. My one little minor annoyance is one of the seats has an imprint of the base on it. I bought this a month ago and the circle imprint is still slowly coming out. Other than that, these are a perfect addition for my studio apartment!

I Love these bar stools! They are so cool looking and don't take up any room at all. Their sleek modern look matches well my very modern house. They aren't the most comfortable chair in the world, but I love to swirl around in them. They give me enough comfort for the time I am in them. If your significant other is over 230, they may not like them, but average weight, maybe under 190 for a man would probably be fine. I didn't look to see if there was a weight limit, didn't really think about it, but they are adjustable so they won't break...they just slide down a little lower for a heavier set man. I saw the aqua ones after I purchased these, I'm still tempted to get those and put the white ones in my kitchen.

As with many Chinese knockoff items, there is a price to be paid for paying less online. I have seen these types of stools in retail stores and liked them, but the price was about the same for one stool in the store than for two stools on Amazon, so I decided to pull the trigger on the Amazon stools. The online stools are of decent quality for the price. Not sure how long they will last. Eventually, the compression seals will leak and the stools will either have to stay in the lower position, or the seat will slowly go down as you sit at the bar (but maybe you won't notice it if you are imbibing). The main issue I found is that there was no ergonomic design put into these stools. The foot rest is way too small and may work well for a Chinese person with short legs and tiny feet, but for me (and I am not tall), sitting for any length of time using the footrest becomes uncomfortable. And if you do not have shoes on, good luck using the footrest at all. The footrest is too small in diameter and does not extend out far enough from the post, so you need to maintain a tight angle at the knee to use the footrest and constantly try to prevent your foot from slipping off. I am thinking of getting some round foam to place on the footrest to see if that makes any difference. Or maybe sticking Velcro on the footrest and wearing wool socks might do the job.

I purchase these all the time for throw away stools for trade shows. They get shipped in with the booth and left behind as garbage post-show. That is in no way a reflection of the stools, we actually have several of them in our art dept and they work great, but for anyone ever looking to buy them for a quick cheap use at a trade show should consider these. They ship compact in a square box that I think was around 15x15x15 with 2 in a box and the cost makes it worth it. Trade show chairs cost anywhere from 130-170$ EACH to RENT so why pay that when you can get 2 for half the cost and still consider it a "rental" when you leave them behind
