Glad I assume the negative reviewers were not to be trusted and ordered this. It went on easy (less than an hour), it looks awesome and it's already made a difference in one day. My truck idles smoother and I love the little growl it has when I get on it. Let's address a couple things in the negative review... The inside of the pipe being dirty as several have said. Mine wasn't, but I still balled up a towel and pushed it through with a piece of PVC pipe just to make sure. If you don't want to do that, don't buy a DIY install of a cold air intake. Just take it to a professional, who will do that on everyone they install to make sure it's free of dirt and debris. The kit didn't come with the four little hose clamps. Mine didn't either, but I assume any person attempting to DIY install a cold air intake probably has a jar of misc sized hose clamps on their workbench. I grabbed four and it didn't really impact the install at all. Seriously, if you are looking for a cold air intake that isn't insanely over-priced, this is the one. Great product, as soon as I stepped on the throttle, you could hear a large and throaty difference from the normally very quiet 2015 gmc sierra 1500 sle with the 5.3l. It does have the dod delete switch on it. I do a lot of work to my own vehicles, this was a breeze. Instructions, parts, installation were straight forward, came in perfect, and took about 45 minutes cause I took my time. Looks very clean in the engine compartment.. Not sure about any of the benefits yet, will try to update ... show more

Just installed this in my 2018 Silverado. Installation was relatively easy and the instructions were easy to follow. I love the way it sounds now that the motor is finally getting air! You won't be disappointed with this, especially for the price!!

    • Check it all before you install.. , huh.. that rhymed.
I would give 5 stars but the only 2 reasons I can’t are the Barb Hose fittings are plastic , there are no hose clamps included for the 2 provided hoses that go to the said fittings and lastly the hoses were cut to short for the passenger side of the intake tube and kink badly. Had to separately buy clamps, a hose with a 90 degree molded bend for one and hose fittings. Also before install recommend wipe the inside of the tube with a new clean microfiber towel reason is I found quite a bit of shavings in there thankfully before install. Besides that slight annoyance it’s a good solid product , I do feel less lag when accelerating and more immediate response. ... show more

Perfect fit for my 2015 Silverado 1500 LT with the 5.3 Easy to install and it will increased my gas mileage by about 2 MPG. Plus is sounds great!

    • Quality is absolute GARBAGE
I’ve been an aircraft mechanic for 26 years. I’ve rebuilt aircraft for Virgin Galactic, and was in the import scene for a long time with my Evo making Cover of Dsport (March 2012). I’m well aware of what true quality is, and this is not it. The only reason I didn’t remove it and go back to stock is it’s 98 degrees outside. The intake pipe is pot metal aluminum. Absolute lowest quality aluminum. That’s ok though, it matches their packing which is trash cause the pipe was scratched to bare metal. Thankfully they sent a badge which I used to cover the crappy pack job. The 2018 Silverado has quick release vent tubes so installing the hoses required worm clamps, guess what… none in the box. Surprise. That’s on par though with the other clamp which came cross threaded in the barrel nut and would not release or tighten. I humored myself and the bolt never moved. The clamp twisted and bent though. Used a factory clamp. The filter makes spectre look like K&N. I wish I could say anything good…….. it’s lighter than stock but that could just be because it was missing half the clamps. Save your money and buy something else. Also for reference, I have a 2001 Suburban with 5.3 and I installed a 57.00 Amazon eBay intake. It is significantly higher quality than this Rough Country attempt at quality intake. People giving this 5 stars either got lucky or have very low standards. If you wanna see what quality looks like. Google Japanese ARC intake. ... show more
