This guy does exactly what I wish my wife would do..... It sucks! So much more air gets into my engine. I could tell right away my little 5.3 was as happy as me on my wedding night. Time will tell if this bad boy/ girl, (not trying to gender cast), will last longer than my beautiful wife, but it's doing great so far. This is no different than the $60 China intakes on here - i was hoping for better but all you get is the logo (and instructions).

    • Nice intake kit
Overall, this is a nice kit for the price. The instructions left a little to be desired, and I didn't like that the mounting required drilling a 5/8" hole in the airbox tray. That's a really large hole, and the average guy might not have a drill bit that big. With that being said, the assembly and installation were pretty straight forward, and the components seem well made. Make sure you buy an $8 can of MAF cleaner spray and take the time to clean your MAF sensor and throttle body while everything is apart. It does make a difference. The only thing that wasn't mentioned, and that I couldn't figure out, is whether the filter element needs to be oiled like a K&N. Since it wasn't addressed in the instructions, I left it dry. My Tahoe runs great. Happy so far. ... show more
