I'm really pleased with the quality of the Rough Country cold air intake. The installation was relatively simple, and the instructions were good, although the pictures could have been a little brighter. I highly recommend buying a throttle body spacer though, I'm not sure the fit would have been as good without the spacer. I have noticed a reduction in throttle lag in the higher gears (I have a manual transmission). It definitely sounds better, I'm sure that I will notice an increase in mileage, I installed a cold air intake on my Toyota 4runner and noticed a two to three mile per gallon increase and mileage.     • Good fit
Noticed a difference with throttle response. They are loud compared to stock filter. They allow more air flow. Paired with exhaust and throttle body plate makes a difference.

Easy to put together. Instructions were poor at best. Wrench they sent to install pedals wasn't right size. Have yet to ride it but still very happy with purchase price, delivery time, looks and quality. I would recommend it to a friend. I have not reached out to manufacturer about damage. Not sure if it's worth the headache

Got it 2 days before Christmas on time; all the pieces fit well. The only install is the sensor on the pipe was quite a task. After all that, the jeep runs good.

Reasonable price, but it is not worth it. I tried to install the system, but the clamp for the throttle body was too big, the mount on the bottom of the intake pipe was over an inch off and could not be connected to the air box unless you bent it. The grommet that holds the temperature sensor inside the intake tube sets loosely. Don’t waste your time or money. I returned it and purchased the Spectre for $46 more. Once installed sounds fantastic however, the instructions did not match the equipment we received. completely different clamps that did not work I had to use the stock flathead clamps to replace the ones that came with the kit because the ones that came with the kit were complete garbage now with all of that out-of-the-way for the price point it’s a fantastic intake. Looks cool sounds cool, but the install really takes two people and a lot of patience. ... show more

    • Fairly Easy to Install. Love the look and sound
Pretty easy to install. Had to look up the the color instructions to figure out the last two bolts. Also, they shouldn't have been the last two bolts. At the very least, the fender bolts should go on before the air filter and they would be much easier if you have another person. I had to clamp my wrench to the cold air intake frame to get the lock-nuts going from the fender side. All that being said, it still only took a little over an hour. The sound the jeep makes when the throttle is open is great and it looks good inside. I haven't noticed too much performance change, but I've made a lot of other changes all at once so it's impossible to know mileage or hp improvements. ... show more

It did help in acceleration. It did better MPG from 13.9 to 15.4. Did have to add an half inch throttle plate the lines up system. (Will update picture. No plate added yet) It does give my 3.8 a throaty growl. Update exhaust comes next. But , yea, honestly, IT IS A GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY. Oh, assembly was as expected.
