    • Quality Control Needed
Overall this is a good intake, it serves its purpose and really helped to get more response from my engine…..Function=5 Stars However, there are a few cons. 1. Vague instructions. It’s hard to tell which fasteners go where. 2. Faulty Hardware. The rubber grommets that hold the heat shield on are trash. I may have overtightened them but the nut encased in the rubber detached and ended up failing. I ended up using some bolts with lock washers I had in the garage. ALSO I found the screw on the steel band provided to fasten the rubber connector to the intake manifold (the larger of the 4) was completely stripped out. Luckily I was able to use the band from the factory intake. I could see this being a pain if you already have the old intake ripped out, no extra hardware to install the new one. Overall, after testing it out it does the job and it’s a nice upgrade, but quality control would be a nice extra feature. ... show more

    • Very cheap materials. Poor quality control. Did not fit without madifications
Piping was full of aluminum shavings inside. Recieved correct part # for my truck but the piping was also 4 inches too long. The clamps are really cheap. This product is not worth the price in my opinion. I could have returned it but i made it work. Will probably be the last Rough Country product i will ever buy ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Makes the engine louder, no noticeable power gain. Fitment was average, Not great. On a stock truck it's a waste of money honestly.
