Low tension is right!! IMPORTANT NOTE: When you first put on these strings and start winding the tuning pegs, when all the slack is taken up you're getting very close to being in tune, unlike other strings I have used in the past with much more tension that need way more winding. Makes the bass so much easier to play. Still has all the raspy punch and harmonics too. Dumped my Ernie Ball Super Slinkys that went dead in a week. Love the new color coding on these strings too. Round wound or flat wound-depending the sounds you need work great! Sounds great on a vintage Gibson bass!

These seem to put almost no tension on the neck, which is what I was looking for (to use on a vintage neck-through bass I can’t take chances with). Easy to play, not as sleek and well rounded as Stringjoy or laBella, but they do the trick.

    • Love Rotosound Roundwounds for 40 years!
I only use rotosound roundwounds, love their punchy sound. Experimenting with narrower string sets, like RS66LAs and Bs, on my Fender and Rick but tried an amusing set called "Funkmaster" that I enjoyed on my med-scale old '67 Gibson EB-0. Fun!
