Description

The Roto-fab cold air intake for the 2016-24 Camaro SS remains at the head of the pack for the 6th gen Camaro! This listing includes an oil filter and accommodations for the OEM sound enhancement feature on your car. This cold air intake delivers great performance and awesome sound without a tune or any modifications to the vehicle. Installation is easy and detailed, step-by step color instructions are included. The Roto-fab 2016-24 Camaro SS cold air intake system uses all of the available real estate to package a huge air box and massive filter while maintaining an extremely effective barrier against engine bay heat. We've developed this cold air intake to perform well as a standalone mod while being capable of meeting the higher air demands of custom builds. Our open top design effectively seals to the hood which maximizes air box volume while providing all of the advantages of a lid. We use top quality components throughout including high gloss silicone hose couplers, stainless steel hose clamps, stainless steel fasteners and molded-in inserts for air box and MAF sensor mounting. The air box and duct work are custom molded to maximize air flow and fit the car perfectly. The logo badge on the air box has a black anodized finish with a laser etched Roto-fab logo. We also include a red Roto-fab vinyl graphic in the instructions giving end users the option of reversing the badge and applying the red logo to match the red lettering on the engine covers. Don't settle for less-go with the trusted leader in Camaro air intake systems! The Roto-fab 2016-24 Camaro SS cold air intake system is also available with a sound tube delete option. (part number 10161050 with oil filter, part number 10161051 with dry filter) Both eliminate the sound tube assembly from the inlet elbow all the way back to the fire wall. The package includes a firewall block-off plate and a smooth inlet elbow with no sound tube mounting block. Many prefer this option for a cleaner look while still enjoying the naturally aggressive sound of the cold air intake. All oil filters come pre-oiled and ready to use. This oil filter requires 89 grams of oil when servicing. The replacement oil filter is part number 10135013. This product is not for sale, use or distribution in California!

Quick and easy to install. Perfect fitment with all necessary hardware included. Only a screwdriver and pliers/channel locks were needed was a plus. For beginners/entry-level car enthusiasts, the instructions are a bit unclear in some steps for overall installation, however, it is more than enough to cover the important aspects such as what can/cannot be reused and over-tightening parts. The instructions omitted/unclear with the overall fitment of the heat shield. There is an additional factory seal that the 6th-generation Camaro SS/1LE has that must be aligned and fit perfectly when installed so that air coming from the front of the vehicle is routed to the filter properly. The overall fitment is great. The heat shield box is a bit tricky to place as it needs to align with the vent seal at the bottom and the grommets to hold into place. The elbow piece can also be tricky to install as well as there is limited space. As mentioned in the instructions, no additional parts are needed to be removed other than the factory intake. No tune is required so after installation you may continue daily driving. There may be some concerns regarding the computer system not adjusting to the extra air coming in but for me, there were no issues with that. To take additional precautions, the battery can be unplugged while installing and reconnected when finished and driving the vehicle for a bit to allow the system to reconfigure. ... show more
