this is obviously a well made sturdy high quality product, however, the nice and deeply fluted edge of the wheel is not sharp - it's like the backside/non-cutting edge of a thin bladed kitchen knife. it's also 3 3/4 inches in diameter - so not for real fine circular detail work. bought it to cut apart springerle cookies and other decorative trim work so I'm aware that this is not what this was designed for - but I need a sharp edge that cuts as opposed to this tool - which creates a perforation through compression/mashing. NOTE: I am not sinophobic - I take full responsibility for helping to create the market for rock bottom cheap stuff, but while this is a German brand, rosle; the product is made in china. ... show more

Cover for cutter blade came off during shipment and while the blade was not sharp the weight if the tool cut through the padded mailer large enough for both tools to have been lost.

Rösle is overrated. Unfortunately, it is one of the few manufacturers, who turn out reliable quality. Their kitchen tools jold up well. BUT I have one point of argument with ROESLE: The handles on most all tools never feel ergonomic and pleasantly professional to the touch, but rather clumsy and odd. Rösle's standard issue round stainless steel grip gets dangerously slippery when touched by wet or oily hands (which happens A LOT while cooking) and feels unprecise. i like stainless steel. better than plastic grips. But they should hire a person over at Rösle's, who actually touches their kitchen tools, so that they come up with slight curves and balanced leverage to fit human hands and not just some kind of LEGO person. Also, the tools are quite heavy. Those are my complaints. But again: They get the job done. ... show more
