Perfect for my chicks.

I used these when my chicks were tiny and it worked great in the brooder. Now that my chicks are bigger I have a larger feeder and waterer in our chicken run area. But I threw these in the coop area and every night when the chickens go to bed they run over and eat for a while. So I’m glad I keep getting use out of it. The legs that raise the waterer up are great. They are sturdy and work well for smaller chickens. When they get larger they can knock it over.

Work as Expected!

I used both of these for my baby chickens and they work great. They are the right size for raising chicks and the stand for the water is helpful to keep it clean. No leaks and very stable. I did raise them up on bricks as my chicks grew to keep them clean!

Pretty good set

Like that the water can be set up higher using the legs. This feature does help to keep the water clean with baby chicks. The feeder jar would be nicer if it were larger. My five baby chicks empty it by mid-day. Otherwise, the set is perfect for raising baby chicks. Easy cleaning, stable bases, easy for chicks to use. No spill issues.

Great for baby chickens

This works so well with my little chickens. The food dish size is perfect for the little ones. I did need a bigger one once they got to a month old. I still use the waterer.

Waterer is great but food container doesn't stay together well

The water dispenser is great, the little feet made a big difference with my chicks not getting shavings and droppings in the water. However, the food container easily came apart, often when filling it or picking it up and was more of a hassle than the metal one I have. I will keep it as a backup for when chickens are sick and isolated, but if this is a new purchase for you, I'd look for one where the base is more secure to the part that holds the food.
