Final review: do not use torque wrench. A regular socket works fine. Got the bolts out, and replacements from O'Reilly. Test drove on highway weekend I put them in, held up fine. I have been up to 80mph with the pictured rig.l, spent the weekend in the Valley of Fire. 1st review: Finally went to attach the rails tonight and two bolt broke off inside the roof mounts. Instructions call for 23 foot-pounds of torque. I only applied twenty. Lets see what their customer service has to say. Have a 2014 Rav 4. Rack already installed standard so just needed cross members and J Style Kayak racks. After figuring the first one the other three went really fast. Can't think of anything negative to say. Going to switchover for snowboard rack over winter.

    • Good value for the money but not OEM
The parts didn’t fit without some effort pushing and using the bolts to bring surfaces together. One of the front end caps is barely held on with some small plastic clips, and I think it will eventually fall off or get eaten by a car wash. Overall it looks good, but I don’t think the fit and finish is the same as Toyota OEM, but it’s only a fraction of the money. ... show more
