The installation was pretty easy and the fit was perfect on my 4Runner. I found that if I did a test fit first, I could easily slide it back out and then tighten down the four bracket bolts and reinstall the cross bar. Using a 2x4 to distribute the load I could then use a rubber mallet to lightly tap the entire front cross bar into place easily; without having to run back and forth to install it. installation time was only 20min. Careful taking the rear caps off from the factory towers/feet. Use a towel or a piece of scrap to avoid denting or scratching anything when you using a flathead screwdriver to release the plastic caps. ... show more

The product is just fine. It has a nice low profile and fits very sturdy between my luggage bars. I must warn buyers about the install: It is NOT easy. The instruction sheet is a total waste of paper. The only way I finally got them installed was thanks to three or four YouTube videos - which were a blessing. I am fairly accomplished with small tool maintenance and repair. If you are not comfortable with this, you may want to have someone who is install them for you. ... show more

I had to google a video and was able to find the tool that came with the car to remove the covers. After that, it was a breeze to install!

Bars came a couple days earlier than promised. Packaging was very nice, bars wrapped and bagged. Instructions complete. Installed easy, looks good.. holds my rooftop box. Impressed with quality of bars and hardware. Would recommend.

I think this is a good product. Too low for my Thule Evolution1600 XT Cargo box. It sits on the antenna of 2023 4 runner. Raised bars are required to provide enough clearance. Otherwise good product.
