These lights are fantastic. I placed them inside large rolling cabinets in my shop (see photo). Prior to installing these lights, I would often need to hold a flashlight in one hand while searching for what I wanted. Now, as soon as I open the door, the light comes on, which makes it easy to see everything inside the cabinet. Twenty seconds after the door is closed, the light goes out, making the built-in rechargeable battery last a good long while. When it does need to be charged, it is easy to just pull it off the cabinet door and take it to a charger. It could be charged in place, but the rolling cabinets do not have power which is why these rechargeable lights are so great. The kit comes with one USB-A to USB-C charging cable for each light, but no power block. Since including a power block would be added to the delivered price, I think it was a good move not to include one, as most people have several of these just lying around. If you don’t have a power block available, one can easily be purchased, and everybody else is not forced to buy another thing that they don’t need. I thought that at least two lights per cabinet would be required, but the 160 Lumens of 5K white light delivered by each unit is more than ample. It is nice to have both hands free to get what I need without having to hold a light in one hand. The magnets on the back hold the light securely to the metal cabinet door, but units are easily removed for charging. If your intended application is not magnetic, eight self-adhesive metal plates are included so the lights can quickly and easily be mounted to any hard smooth surface. Overall, I am very pleased with these lights. The construction feels solid, and I would expect them to last much longer than their 12-month warranty. They are dimmable, can be set to 3K, 4K, or 5K light color, and turned on and off manually, or by the built in motion sensor.     • Perfect to light up the inside of cupboards

I love the kitchen in our new house -- very spacious with a ton of cabinets. However, the lighting leaves a lot to be desired and the inside of the lower cabinets were like dark caves. It put one of these in each of four cabinets. Opening the door to the cabinet triggers the motion sensor and voila, we have light! This has made it so much easier in the days since I installed these to find things in these cabinets. I even rearranged some so they are more efficient, now that I can better see how to do so. I set these to the brightest white light setting. Installing was a snap. Each lamp has two metal plates with adhesive backing. I just put the plates into position on the back of the lamp, peeled off the back of the sticker, and pressed the lamp onti the side of the cabinet next to the door. Once the adhesive is set, it is a cinch to pop off the lamp for recharging. Tip: If you wait until the battery dies to recharge, you have to reset it to motion-sensor again as well as the level of brightness you want. There appears to be no memory that holds your settings. If you want to change these settings, I recommend taking the lamp off the magnets. I found pressing the switches to make changes dislodged the lamp from the magnets and could cause it to fall.     • Handy lights, but a little quirky when ambient lighting changes

I like these under-cabinet lights in general, and I’ve used several different brands and styles. They are really handy in a closet or under or inside a cabinet. One quirk I’ve noticed about these is that they sometimes come on when another light comes on or goes off. The light sensor is supposed to sense ambient light above a certain level and prevent the motion detector from activating to save power. Makes sense. But when a room light is turned off, I find that these will come on as if they’ve detected motion. I like that they have selectable color temperature and brightness. I usually prefer warmer white lights, but in some situations a higher color temperature is useful. The built-in magnets and included sticky-backed mounting plates are useful and makes it easy to remove the light to be recharged when necessary. I recommend these lights but the quirky light sensor is a little bit of an annoyance, and other versions that I’ve tried don’t seem to have that quirky behavior. So, one star off for that, but otherwise – recommended. ... show more
