When this works as intended, the cookies are really beautiful. Especially if you buy a rotary cutter so the edges are fluted. It’s not that easy to get a large rectangle of cookie dough uniform thickness, tho. So be prepared for some trial and error before you get your technique perfected. Of course the fact that you get to eat the “rejects” ain’t all bad!! Recommend.

This pin is a quick way to enliven a batch of simple sugar cookies. The engraving is deep enough to emboss the cookies, but not so deep to get jammed up. I use a springerly-type recipe.

The shape of each squared design is too small for 1 cookie. Makes tiny cookies in my opinion. I Would prefer that each square was about 3-4” bc we like to give bigger special cookies for Christmas. Otherwise ver good

I was looking for something different for Christmas this year, and I’ve been wanting one of these. I rolled out a shortbread dough and cut them with a rippled tool I have for cutting veggies. They turned out pretty darn good! I was worried that the imprint would bake out, but as you can see, it is still visible.

Pro:awesome design Con. Will end up with a small sized cookie and needs a lot of prep and cleaning as dough can get stuck in the crevices (and there are a lot !) when it happens. The design imprint gets muddled Best to work with cool dough. If too warm. It’ll surely stick !
