I thought I was going to have to replace my sunscreen roller shade because the mechanism that rolls it up and down froze and I couldn't fix it. I found the replacement part on Amazon and for less than $20 I was able to fix it. It was fairly easy to install except that I need to remove the entire part that was in the tube in order to put the new one in. I used a flat screw driver to urge the part out and then placing the new one was really easy. This part saved me over a hundred dollars by not having to buy a whole new shade. With the new part in the roller just glides up and down so easy it is like the whole thing is brand new. ... show more

The inside measurement of my pole is 1 1/8 - was still to tight for easy fit. I was able to grind/alter to force fit. Better a little large then too small.
