I bought this bit to cut dados in 3 tool holders I'm making for a Lathe Spindle Duplicator. The handles require a 3/8" slot for the cutting tools to mount in. I used this bit to cut the 3 slots and the cutting tools would not fit in the slots. I measured the bit with a micrometer and found it to be 0.371", 4 thou shy of the 0.375" it should be. The cutting tool shanks measured 0.375". Just a little adjustment with a wood rasp corrected the problem however when buying CNC bits, I expected them to be the size advertised. I still gave the bit 4 stars. It's very sharp and made a nice clean cut in 1 pass. If you don't need total accuracy, it's worth the price. ... show more

This does the job perfectly. Cutting 3/4 baltic birch and didn't want tear out. Comparing to a straight flute Bosch, both did great but this was just a little cleaner, even on the bottom. I am not diappointed and will buy again.

Full disclosure, I ended up returning this bit because it was too big for my application. That's on me for not thoroughly reading the description. I did look at the bit before returning and debated keeping it because it seemed like a high quality bit. Ultimately though, I didn't have anything that could safely drive an endmill this large.
