Product was easy to install. Audio is clear and crisp. Bass is adequate. This is an update to my review above: I have now been able to use this product for about two months and I’m astounded by how well it works. New movies, do not seem to Emphasize audio, as was done 25 to 30 years ago. It seems the audio technicians care more about special effects and loud background, music and explosions, which tend to drown out the speech, making it almost impossible to hear what The actors are saying. You have to sometimes play with the volume button to be able to adequately hear speech while decreasing the Volume for the special effects sounds. This Roku system does this for you. It adequately balances the background music and effects with the speech, where you’re able to clearly hear what the actors are saying, without having to increase the volume. With this system I have also been able to hear sounds, which were inaudible using just the regular TV. ... show more

    • Great Sound in a Small Package

I don't have much room by the TV since it is on top of my dresser. Was able to greatly improve the sound in a small space. Comparable sound to other bars that are 3X as big. Already had Roku for streamline but now 1 less device attached to the TV.

Our smart TV doesn't have the best speakers, therefore the sound quality was sub-par. I decided to purchase this from Roku and once I got it all hooked up, I couldn't believe my ears . The sound quality got upgraded 25X. Compared to what it was to what it is now, it almost sounds like your at a movie theater, that's how much difference there is. To use the Roku channel is simple and the voice remote is an upgrade over what we had with the Roku Stick. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!! Looking forward to buying the Roku set of 2 speakers that go along with the soundbar. Anxious to hear the sound after I get those hooked up. ... show more

    • No Antenna, No Problem!

I have tried to cut the cord in the past but was unsuccessful. This Roku package has made this possible because I don’t have to deal with loose cords hanging everywhere. It was simple to set up even for a female senior. The built in antenna provides a beautifully clear picture at all times. It has also saved me so much money! I can see more premium content free of charge with the apps. I will say the added sub woofer does not seem to add much, and I must frequently reconnect it, but it does not detract. This product has paid for itself many times over! Note: If you want local programming you will need to add an app which allows it, or buy an OTA antenna to sit close by. ... show more

    • Worked Great for a Couple Months ... Then Issue

Worked well for a couple months, then it started to randomly mute the volume when I press the volume up or down button on the remote. Worked with Roku support on this issue. They sent me a new remote, which did not help. After that, Roku support stopped responding.

    • Sounds great, here’s some set-up advice:

Sound is great, but 4 stars for being overly complicated to figure out what equipment to buy and how to set up surround sound. If you bought a Roku tv you know by now your generic wireless sound system likely won’t work with it. If you started out with wireless Roku speakers like I did, you may eventually decide to add a soundbar and subwoofer. I purchased this Streambar and subwoofer package as it advertises being able to pair wireless Roku speakers to it, which I already had. The directions to set up a Streambar are correct, but don’t make sense until you mess up like I did. The first thing to understand is that you leave your wireless speakers paired to the tv. You’ll drive yourself nuts trying to pair them to the bar. After you connect the soundbar to the tv’s eARC HDMI and/or optical ports, and plug it in, do not turn on the tv. The bar will have a flashing orange light which means it’s looking to pair with the remote that came in the package. Take off the remotes battery cover, insert batteries, hold down small round button by batteries until little green light flashes next to it. When little light stops flashing, look at soundbar light. It should now be a solid color. You have paired the remote to the bar. Now turn on the tv using your tv remote. Hit the power/home button on the bar remote. Can’t remember which. It will walk you through the setup process to sign the soundbar into your Roku account, connect it to your WiFi, and import your Roku streaming apps. Now, hit the home button on your tv remote. Go to settings, remotes and devices, speakers. Plug in your wireless subwoofer to power. Go to add devices and click on the subwoofer that has become available on the tv. Now, when you use the tv remote for the tv menu, all sound will come through wireless speakers and woofer. But when you use the home button on your streambar remote, anything you watch through the streambar menu will include the soundbar speakers for more immersive sound. Two more wireless speakers can be added as well. If there is a better way to set this system up than I did, I hope you can find it. ... show more

Excellent value with great sound for such a small footprint. I placed this soundbar and woofer in a 16' by 17' room and was very pleased with the sound quality and how fast it paired with the woofer when starting. I was worried that I might need the pro soundbar for 272 sq ft room but it did just fine. I am very pleased with this purchase and have ordered another one for an additional location. Highly recommended for rooms this size or smaller. I am glad the remote uses batteries and not the new rechargeable remotes. My experience with rechargeable stuff is it is great when new but once the rechargeable fails to charge, you just have a piece of junk. I rather just buy batteries every 6 to 9 months. For remotes you do not need to buy expensive batteries, just stick to name brands on sale. I also highly recommend Roku as a whole. I own 8 Roku devices and enjoy them all. My first Roku was purchased in 2020 and I'm still buying Roku units today. I did try other brands before that but once a friend showed me his Roku unit I switched brands and got hooked. ... show more
