I waited to write a review until this inverter generator was well used. This unit has clocked 333hrs without any issue. I mean ZERO issues with performance. Oil is regularly changed according to manufacturer. Occasionally 20 or so hours past the due date. Spark plug still hasn't been changed. Air filter only vaccumed and checked. Mostly due to lack of free time. This unit powers out fifth wheel and acts as a solar battery backup. I've kept it out of the rain. Pros: -very quiet -fuel efficient -well built quality -easy to change oil -Compared to the champion unit of similar size; this unit is considerably quieter, remote start is awesome, auto choke is wonderful, and the westinghouse regulates loads better. We bought one of each, and wish everyday I had 2 of these units. Cons: -The difference between eco mode on and eco mode off is not great. The issue with this is the ramp up time; its longer, and simply turning eco mode off doesn't help as both modes have low rpm. AC and microwave are not happy when starting up. -plastic scratches easily. Not a big deal, just could be better We live off grid, and we push this unit hard. When it's on, it's almost always at least 50-75% load. In conclusion, 5 stars, worth every dollar ... show more

The iGen 4500c is a replacement for my old 5kw generator. Instructions are clear and assembly went smoothly. The supplied oil filler tube is threaded and screws in easily, but there should be a note to use a rag to catch spills since you have to remove the tube to check the oil level (as instructed). Also, the battery connectors are really tight (a good thing) and need to be wiggled a bit to insure they get inserted completely. The oil and battery accessways are a little tight, making replacing the oil level plug and inserting the battery connectors somewhat difficult. The electric start is smooth and convenient with the remote and the running noise level is really low, especially compared to my old generator. I really like the layout of the controls and displays. The number of outlets (2) is disappointing; four would have been better, but there doesn't appear to be room on the control panel to have provided them. I did purchase an adapter for the RV connector that added three more outlets - that would be a nice item to include in the package. Delivery was really quick and was dropped off right before our current bad weather began. Begging the conditions to deal with, all in all, I am looking forward to using the new generator. ... show more

The generator was delivered quickly and in good shape. It’s super quiet - we were impressed. Started right up after adding oil and fuel. Remote start is very convenient. Can’t wait to get it out on the road with our new camper!

Front door delivery is nice! Good quality machine. Easy setup. Easy to move around with the telescoping handle. It's a little bigger than I thought but its going to work great with the RV and it is a nice backup when we lose power in the house
