  • Great generator!
Style: 4000 Watts - Gas Only - Remote Start
Great generator! Have it for about 5 months and hasn’t let me down. Had one power outage during winter time in Texas. No problem, turned it on from my living room thanks to the remote start feature! Easy! Also used it twice with my RV. Quiet, powerful and reliable!

  • Powerful and portable
Style: 4000 Watts - Gas Only - Recoil Start
Fantastic generator. Unit is light weight, powerful, and quite. A tank of fuel lasts all day as the generator powers our job site. Powerful enough to run a pancake compressor and a portable tablesaw simultaneously.

  • Great Value for the Money
Style: 5000 Watts - Gas Only - Remote Start
I just purchased this generator this week. I have been running it to break it in the past couple of days and so far I am impressed with the ease, versatility and great options I find on this powerful machine. I plan to use it primarily for dry camping with my RV trailer, but I am also finding several uses around the home and yard as well. Case in point, I have been needing to plant my garden but I keep running out of daylight before I can get it done, so tonight as the sun was going down I pulled the 4500c out to the back yard with the handy telescoping tote handle and hooked up a tower light stand I had handy and was able to get quite a bit done, until it started to rain. I am hoping to get the recommended 5 hours of lite break in use on the machine before we take it out camping next week. The weather is supposed to be a bit warm so I am looking forward to seeing how it powers the RV air conditioner and other power needs. Oh, and I should also mention that for the power it puts out, it is a relatively quiet machine. Another big plus in the campgrounds. ... show more

  • Quiet and easy to move around
Style: 4000 Watts - Gas Only - Remote Start
It took a bit for it to start and actually ran the battery down and had to charge it. It comes with a charger so no big deal there. I let it charge overnight. Next day I went to start it and it started right up! Let it run for a couple hours before connecting it to my 28' 5th wheel RV. Worked great! Ran the ac and all the appliances at the same time. I really like the remote start. I can start and stop it while the generator is in the bed of the truck. I made a box from plywood to cover it on only 3 sides to keep it from getting too hot. My next thing will be to get an extra tank to run it on as the small tank it has only runs it for about 6 hours on full power needs. Guessing it would run twice as long on eco mode. I like the handle and wheels attached too. Easy to pull around and not too heavy to lift. Seems quiet too compared to my other generators I've had ... show more

  • Very Good Generator
Style: 5000 Watts - Gas Only - Remote Start
Absolutely excellent generator. Very good quality. Built well and durable. Starts Everytime. Runs many hours with very efficient fuel consumption, very economical. Quiet. Can run many appliances and all types of power tools. Very well engineered . Not easy to change oil but worth the time it takes to do it right. Has what you need to get it done but oil changes are time consuming until you get real used to them. Wheels and long telescopic handle for easy transport over terrain. Good strong frame with strong handles to lift. Heavy tho for its size. The LED panel went out after a year. But minor things because this performs well, sincerely well, and is sort of impressive a gen set. ... show more

  • Impressive Out-of-the-Box Experience & Feature-Packed for the Price
Style: 4000 Watts - Gas Only - Recoil Start
I recently picked up the Westinghouse iGen4000cv, and while I haven’t had to use it in a "live" emergency situation yet, my initial impressions are very high. I went through the full startup process (added the oil, gassed it up), and it fired right up without a hitch. What Stands Out Initially: Aesthetics & Design: This is a sharp-looking unit. It has a modern, clean design and a surprisingly small footprint for the power it puts out. Portability: At about 60 lbs, it’s fairly light for one person to lift. The telescoping "suitcase-style" handle and wheels make moving it around my driveway and garage a breeze. The Info Panel (The MVP): The LED-lit data center is fantastic. It’s easy to read in low light and provides real-time data on fuel levels, load output, and—most importantly—estimated remaining runtime. Seeing exactly how much "time" you have left at your current load takes a lot of the guesswork out of fuel management. Power-to-Size Ratio: Getting 4,000 peak watts and 3,300 running watts out of a unit this size is impressive. It’s enough to handle my home essentials without being a massive, heavy frame generator. Initial Testing: I ran a quick load test using a jigsaw to see how it handled the draw. The inverter adjusted smoothly, and the power stayed stable. The LED lights on the panel are a nice touch that makes it feel like a premium piece of equipment rather than a basic utility tool. Initial Verdict: For the price, the features and value offered here are tough to beat. If this unit proves to be reliable over the long haul, it will easily be the best generator purchase I’ve ever made. For now, it’s sitting ready as a high-confidence backup for my home for this predicted Arctic Freeze Apocalypse power outage we have coming tonight. We live in the Houston area and our electrical distribution system is not setup to handle freezing ice. Trees break and lines are taken out! ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY WESTINGHOUSE!!!
Style: 4000 Watts - Gas Only - Remote Start
Arrived in good condition. Filled with oil, filled with gas, and connected the battery. The generator started right up after I turned on the gas and allowed the carburetor bowl to fill up. I ran it for the recommended break-in of 5 hours using different wattages from my camper. 4 months later using a couple hours weekly camping, I thought the carburetor had a problem and dumped fuel into my oil overnight but the fuel smell was actually from the the generator trying to start. Using the remote to crank first thing in the morning the generator ran about 3 minutes and basically seized up. Very hard to pull crank rope. The first thing Westinghouse wants to do is put blame on the consumer so your 3 year warranty is nothing to look at. Westinghouse also tried to say I needed to take apart the carburetor and other things to repair myself. They didn't even offer for me to take it to a warranty repair shop for them to look at it. A person that is not mechanically inclined would not be able to do this. I used to work on small engines so I will tear it apart and do repairs then sell it. I have already purchased a different brand. STAY AWAY FROM WESTINGHOUSE PRODUCTS!! Edit: Manny wanted me to reach out to [email protected] so they could escalate through customer service. I haven't heard from customer service so I guess that is just a ploy to entertain customers into thinking they actually have customer service and a 3 year warranty. I also put this same review on the Westinghouse site and they moderated it. Shows they don't want the consumers to know how they do things. ... show more
