I got these to replace some blown out JL audio 6.5 rear door speakers in my 05 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab truck. I actually needed 5.25, but with some spacers I got these to fit nicely. Let me tell you, the sound from these low priced speaker are AWESOME!! I'm using a Pioneer head unit, I can set the crossovers, and these speakers pack a PUNCH once I got them tuned in. The highs are crispy and clean, they have decent lows to blend with my subs. The magnets they have are beefy, much larger than most speakers at this price point, and the construction on them is premium, the magnets have a kool rubber surround on them, but make sure you measure the depth you have to work with. The cone material looks like carbon fiber, I know they are paper, but they look nice and strong, not flimsy. I am wanting to try out their 6x9 option now, so heck yea, I would recommend this brand all day. Get them, you will not be disappointed. ... show more

Needed some new speakers for my 21 road glide. Stock speakers sounded terrible! Easy to install fit with no modifications. Don’t have a power amp yet but they do sound way better and fuller. Definitely can hear bottom end in the music now compared to stock speakers. Definitely will need power amp to hear at highway speeds, that will be next step ... show more

For 6.5's in the back deck, puts out fairly impressive sound. Running it from the head unit, the front aftermarket alpine 6.5's are blowing, but these skars are holding together and have allot more bass and volume in them comparative to the alpines.

I replaced some Kenwood Excelon speakers in my rear door with these Skars , as one of the Kenwoods had blown. I still have Kenwoods in the front doors, all being powered by a Kenwood Excelon amp. I’m very pleased with the sound quality, the Skars were a lot cheaper yet look better made, and all I wanted was for them to perform as good as the Kenwoods. I think they’re a tad better, a little louder, and can handle bass better. I haven’t really tested them too harshly, as I’m still breaking them in. Overall I’m happy, install was easy and fit my 2009 GMC Sierra 4x4 ext cab pickup truck perfectly. No adapters required, which I had to use on the Kenwoods. Also wanted to let everyone know these Skar 6.5 inch speakers are 50 watts RMS (EACH) They label them as 100 watts RMS and 200 watts MAX, but those numbers are for a pair of speakers, not a single speaker. This makes getting an amp with enough juice to power them EASY, even a lot of head units put out 50watts RMS. My amp gives them 75 watts RMS, and they run great. ... show more

I have 4 of these powered by a CT Sounds AT60.4 and they sound great. More importantly, they can handle power and keep up with subs. Most aftermarket coaxial speakers only handle 45 watts RMS. These are perfect coaxials if you're running multiple amps and have a system over 2000 watts RMS. The tweeter doesn't stick out too much so they fit in almost any car. You will need to modify the aftermarket speaker mounting brackets for your car because the basket is larger than a JBL or a Kenwood. ... show more

Sound absolutely amazing very loud and extremely clear at max on my system. If you want clear midst and highs I recommend them big time. Will be ordering a second set to add to the rear pass doors
