I bought these from the good reviews and cheaper price. I was very surprised at the quality build and sound for the price. Did 6.5 and 5.25 in my kenworth both fit exactly like they should. Easy to set up. Only downside was the tiny spade they put on next to the regular side. Definitely worth the upgrade if you’re looking for a budget friendly speaker that sounds great ... show more

    • Small speakers make a big difference

Includes two tweeters, crossovers, wiring and different pods to suit your install needs. Wired straight off the front door speaker and was unsure if it would make a difference but wow! I’m not an audiophile just a handy guy who got a bug to install tweeters one day in my ‘08 Silverado regular cab. Perhaps the door speakers being down low by my feet benefit from the tweeters installed on my sail trim just above the door panel? However, I sense that the sound is just better or higher quality not necessarily just louder. I dropped my volume 75% at what seems like the same sound level. I bought these to replace my old JBL GTO coax that were starting to wear and distort. At the same time I decided to change out my pilar tweeters with Skar TW tweeters. At first, I thought they sounded boomy and lacked that fine detail and crispness I had from my JBLs. I was regreting my purchase and just was disappointed with the overall sound. I've had them installed for about 2 weeks now and man have I fallen in love with them. It seems as if they're finally breaking in and the clarity and precision have made a presence. I'm noticing slight nuances and detail in music that my JBLs weren't picking up on. Solid mid frequencies that I didn't have before are now present. And the tweeters are an audiophile's dream. These things pick up vocals and hi hats like butter. Definitely quality equipment, just give them a chance to settle in. I find myself looking forward to my next drive just to hear the beauty in audio these speakers bring out. I'm super picky with my SQ, and have now decided to add Skar's 7 band eq to my setup just to clear out my signal and fine tune everything up a bit. Let's see how that goes.     • Good quality speaker, easy installation.

I just bought these to replace the stock dash speakers in my RAV4. So far, they sound really good. The sound from these is much more crisp than that of the stock speakers. They'll get a real workout later this week. For what it's worth, I am a woman who can use tools around the house, but don't typically do my own car maintenance. Removal of the stocks and installation of the SKARs was relatively painless. The worst part for me was trying to unclip the stocks from the existing wire harness.     • Amazing tweeters
Size: 6 by 8 Inch
Just installed these with my son in his car for his birthday. We have them hooked up to a budget Taramps amplifier and a Taramps DSP. He already has an excellent budget Hyanka sub and amp for the lows (think he has the ultimate budget car audio system.) He wanted to hear snare drums, high hats, “hear all the instruments.” Let me just say I’m blown away by these for the price. Highs are crisp and clear and really stand out. They have great low end too if you have the power to drive them. They seem a little lacking for mids but that might be the nature of 2-ways. My son’s stock deck speakers and even his subwoofer, to a degree, compensate quite nicely for mids though. Overall, it’s a very nice balance. (Way better than mine 😝) He was ecstatic and really happy with the results. You can’t go wrong with these for the money. Got to be the best ones for your buck. Especially, if you like to hear vocals and upper ranges (again they are indeed full range when paired with an amplifier.)     • Sounds great for those Ballin on a budget

Buying audio for a vehicle can be so over thought and alot of money can go real quick. But budgets and end goals of sound is always a fight. I wanted to go a full set of infinity kappa but pricing was like yeah no. You have a budget. So I bought these skars and for the money I think I got a good deal. Big magnet and stiff strong speaker casing. Material of speaker seem to good. Sound wise. I was shocked. Sounded really good and clear. And these can handle more bass than I thought they could. So win for the skar audio for making a great product. Now to want totally made me mad. I brought 4x6 to series and the 6.5 and the 6x9 for my truck build. The 4x6 has regular size spades for wiring hook up. The 6x9 the same. Now why the 6.5 has a normal size Spade for wire hook up but the other is this tiny Spade hook up. Which would be fine if skar had wiring terminals in the box and which they don't. I am like I got nice speakers and grills. But no wiring terminals, well that's a bummer. So that's my only complaint is the 6.5 has two different size spades for wiring hook up. ... show more

Great sounding, they are 50rms per speaker not 100 like the marketing wank would have you believe. I lost a ring to the a pillar mount and customer service told me to kick rocks. Pretty lame to have such a great product only to be hobbled by a poorly managed company behind it. Hard pass. Next time, maybe ooh I don't know, sell customers spare parts? ... show more
