I recently ordered two speakers from this company for my truck. I installed the first one easily, then tore apart my second door panel to install the second speaker. That’s when I noticed a small wire appeared slightly damaged and wasn’t fully seated. I went on Amazon and quickly found the company’s number. I called on a Saturday morning, and within a minute, a customer service representative from the U.S. answered. He was polite and professional. I explained my issue and mentioned that I didn’t want to remove the one I had already installed just to return both. He gladly took my information and sent me a brand-new speaker free of charge, instructing me to simply dispose of the defective one. Within minutes, I received a confirmation email with shipping details and an estimated delivery date. I can’t say enough about how impressive the customer service was—and the speakers sound fantastic. Because of this experience, I will buy nothing but SKAR products for my audio needs. easy installation even with my stock radio in my 01 silverado they still sound great! i was able to take the stock mounts for the speakers and put them on and they fit right in! nice metal basket they feel nice they work well with my door and there is zero distortion even with stock radio. they can handle any kind of power under 200W will buy again! ... show more

These things are built solidly even for a $60 set of speakers. I had bought some other speakers last year in this price range to replace stocks that blew. Lesson learned never to buy speakers at Best Buy again. Those were 30 watt rms and this is 100 watt rms. Even though my JVC KD-X280BT only puts out 22 watts rms per speaker there is such a noticeable difference that I had to move the Skars to the front doors because I couldn't hear the 30 rms speakers anymore. This only improved my sound stage further. As for performance, I tweaked the settings while playing 90's hip hop songs with hard hitting bass. I could feel my skin vibrating from the bass. Still not like a dedicated subwoofer, but at age 41 it's plenty for me. The 30 rms don't even put out half the bass. So immediately after writing this review I'm ordering a replacement for those inferior speakers making it a 4 speakers match set. I did have to tweak the settings when I played my hard rock music. I wish there were multiple custom user settings with an easy way to change between them. ... show more

Honestly. If these speakers hold up, this is a good deal. I reserve the right to change this rating because I’ve seen quite a bit a bad reviews on Skar months after the fact. But these bad boys rock my ride. Just straight wired to a Pioneer head unit, no amp. I do not see me needing to amp these anyway because they do get loud and they hold their composure very well.
