  • Overpriced but packaged well
Color: 49 Cubes (1/2 Sheet)
Definitely overpriced given how inexpensive these ended up being locally. They arrived as expected though, and packaged really well - so while I wasn't entirely thrilled finding these for 50% of what they're costing here, I was enthralled by how well everything arrived. Otherwise, they function just as rockwool should and I've seen much success from using them. ... show more

  • Works better than Seedling Soil
So much easier to get seeds to sprout than seedling starting soil. As soon as my seedlings were three times the size of these cubes, I transplanted them into other pots with soil or into my raised garden bed.

  • Not the miracle I was looking for... it's better using MG seedling and cloning/cutting soil mix instead.
I didn't have much success using this product, even after buying both cloning gels and powders and soaking the cubes in a PH down substance. A couple of seeds took in this, but no luck with cloning. After the seeds took I found out that this product is non-biodegradable so with the plants roots entwined in this it makes it really hard to transplant and not ruin the roots. I also believe this isn't the best for ourselves or the planet. I wouldn't recommend, in fact I had much more success with Miracle Grows seedling and cloning soil. Everything seemed to like that more then using this. And also with the seeds they took off faster in the soil then these cubes. ... show more

  • These are great for starting seedlings
The pros: These are great for starting seedlings. They work well and seem to have a really good success rate compared to other media. The cons: Messy. Feels like fiberglass. Requires preparation before adding seeds. When they arrived many were broken. I'd say about 5-10% of the squares were sort of unusable. another 20% were not in pristine condition. Maybe just sensitive to shipping. I just ordered another version of these in 200 qty and will see how those fare [Better qty per unit] ... show more

Color: 49 Cubes (1/2 Sheet)
These are great. Not sure what else to say. They are rockwool lol. I use them to start seeds and for hydroponics and they work great!

  • No better way to clone
Color: 49 Cubes (1/2 Sheet)
There is just no better way to clone. These cubes separate easily and quickly promote rooting. I usually only have a 5% fail rate with these cubes, compared to about 20% with pellets. I clone in a bottom haeted cloning chamber.

  • Rockwool has a safety concern
Color: 49 Cubes (1/2 Sheet)
It works for hydroponics as expected but I learned that rockwool can cause health issues and also not sustainable.
