  • Lots of little parts, lots of reward when done
Careful, patient, instruction-following construction will reward you with a beautiful, functional, sturdy greenhouse. We built on a prepared concrete paver base surrounded by 4x4 pressure treated timbers. Had a little setback when 40 mph winds blew down the walls on day one of install, bur we straightened it out and the rest of the assembly went slowly but surely. No parts missing from kit -they ship lots of extra fasteners so you wont panic if you drop a wee nut or bolt. Pay extra attention to squaring the frame and the panels go in without hassle. I have foam backer rod to tighten up the loose panel fit, but will wait for windy winter to see if the panel rattling is really an issue. As other reviews, I agree that the doors are flimsy but are sturdy. We added a screen-door locking latch to the doors and it helped a lot. ... show more

  • End result is worth the effort if you can troubleshoot and tweak a few imperfect parts.
Purchased at the end of January, installed by myself over the course of 2 weekends and a couple evenings. Would have been easier with a second pair of hands, but I managed to get it done with only a few frustrating issues relating to parts not fitting perfectly together (and/or having to read between the lines of imperfectly described diagrams and pictures of a few key steps)... plus the wind. I had read several reviews prior to purchasing, so I was aware that I may need to insert a little creative problem solving with this project. For this product's flaws, I'll still say that it overcomes them with the overall completed finished look and creatively designed integration of the wall and roof panels. Improperly installed, or at partial, early stages of the installation, the frame parts and wall panels are quite flimsy and are highly susceptible to wind. My main tip on installation is check a forecast and start early on a weekend with minimal wind/weather. (I used anything I could to prop up/support the walls and block the gusty wind, but it still caused a couple setbacks by ripping panels out of their slots AND may have partially warped some of the framing, causing 'fit' issues later on.) If wind is a factor at all, you will want to press on until you can at least get the main roof-line 'T' crossbar installed (which is the first really significant support factor holding it firmly together). There are several steps involving prep for later significant steps (like adding extra bolts in slots) which are easy to miss or are unclear, that can cause quite a bit of backtracking or re-adjusting. My biggest two issues were directions that did not effectively clarify 'how' parts fit together, and having to MAKE parts fit when sections were slightly askew or warped. A couple examples are the top of the triangle sections are 'loosely' fitting until they slide into place, and have an extra bolt-hole at the top that evidently is just there to make the part usable in two directions. It would be nice if they would indicate when the holes were not going to be used and more clearly show how some of the beams come together/overlap (the 'T' beam was tricky to figure out what was over/under, for example. Part of the ill-fitting of this part could have been partially due to a couple wind related, slightly bent parts. All in all, once you figure out how to get the parts all working together, the finished product is very cohesive and strong. The two primary weak points of the design are the door/latch and the roof panel hatches. Both are highly susceptible to wind if not properly secured. The door is a giant wind-sail if it opens, and will yank on the structure, likely causing warping or damage if popped open and not immediately fixed. This happened once after completion for me, and caused front roof-line to bend and partially popped out a roof panel, which I was able to save because I heard it banging around. You will want to modify the door latch and reinforce it when opened and closed preemptive to your first wind storm (The magnets will not secure it well enough, and the latch can get rattled open). The plastic roof vent mechanism/handle is flimsy as well, and even 'tightened', will not hold up to heavy wind gusts (the same wind storm that battered the door totally ripped off one of the roof vent panels). However, you can use the extra bolts (the longer one) in place of the plastic one, and that will secure it better. I also created a secondary latch with a strip of sheet steel to modify it further to ensure this not happening again. Despite all the issues, this was the best looking greenhouse/sun-room for anywhere near the price point. With a few modifications and tweaks, I expect to enjoy it for years to come. Totally worth the effort. Good luck! ... show more

  • Flimsy and cannot withstand wind
This is flimsy and not meant to be anywhere with any wind. It blew over several times and eventually was so damaged that we couldn't repair it. The instructions are terrible, and the overall assembly process is poorly designed. The metal is a flimsy aluminum and the panels are about as thick and wobbly as an orange juice jug. It might have been a better experience somewhere without any wind, but at 12mph this thing was noisy and extremely difficult to put together. With a 20mph gust, it blew over (while unstaked during assembly). With a 30 mph gust, it blew over (while staked) and totally collapsed. I'm now out 2k for a pile of useless scraps. ... show more

  • I am obsessed!
This greenhouse is exactly what I had wanted, classy and able to add functional space without being an eyesore. Once construction was complete and bolted solidly to a foundation we had achieved the look I was going for! I cannot wait to fill it and will post updated photos when landscaping is complete ... show more

  • A bit flimsy
The instrument manual was a joke. Parts were mostly marked but not all. Having to redo steps over took longer then it should have. Side wall plastics also seemed a bit flimsy.

  • Super cute style of greenhouse
The panels on the sides seem kinda thin, but the structure seems quite sturdy. We are glad we paid someone to put together for us, it took them 2 days to assemble. It is so cute and we are excited to be able to extend our growing seasons.

  • Beautiful Greenhouse
This is truly a beautiful greenhouse that is quite solid once fully constructed. I would give it 5 stars, but the construction was a bit tedious. I constructed this with my ten year old son over the course of 3 days. I have many years of building experience, but you can throw that out the window if you think that will help much. The instructions are a set of images which will guide an average student clearly through the process, provided you pay close attention to the image details. Bolt direction, tightness, inside/outside perspective, all matter during the construction process and will save you a tremendous amount of time. I did not have any issues with parts coming off even is decent wind. I suspect the reviews that sighted this issues stopped working at a point where the structure wasn’t sufficiently supported For the evening. Once the frame is put together, the structure is solid. That said, I did have it bolted to my foundation at that point. Worth the energy expended, it would be difficult to construct a greenhouse of equal beauty from scratch. Allow yourself, and hopefully a friend 3 days to complete the build, start early in the morning, there are 101 pages each with multiple steps that take between 2 to 20 minutes to complete. Make sure your foundation and or pad are prepared in advance. Good luck! ... show more

  • It's a beautiful greenhouse with plenty of room
It's a beautiful greenhouse with plenty of room. I'd recommend getting the auto-vent kit as well. Assembly takes MUCH longer than stated, but isn't very hard over all.
