  • Great all in 1 starter.
Size: 24"x24"x55"
I just got the item today. It took me 2 hours to set it up. I followed the advice of another purchaser who left feedback to get the piping done first, then put the sheathing over it. This was a great idea and made it super easy. There truly is everything you need mechanically to get set up. I did look up other people's ideas on how to mount the filter and blower for inside the tent. Images show putting it side by side, and if you get the two-by-two-by-five-foot one, hooking the filter and blower together almost takes up the entire two feet across. So, I put the filter on the left side wall and the blower on the back wall, then ran the vent out the top. The only thing I have purchased extra so far is a two pack of Wi-Fi enabled thermometer/humidifiers from govee. I think overall the price is pretty nice for entry level. Very excited will update review in 6 months ... show more

  • SF tent kit...Happy Growing!
Size: 24"x24"x55"
I received the Spider Farmer Grow Tent Kit on time with no damage. The quality of this product is superb. The tent was put together with easy however I found it difficult when attaching the light and the fan inside the tent. I must admit that I am not good with putting together things, I thought it would be easy because the tent itself was super easy to assemble. I figured it out eventually but my goodness it took me a while. The light is super bright, I wish it came with a dimmer/switch to control the brightness of the light. The fan is quiet, and the filter works well. I would recommend this tent. ... show more

  • From Zero to Growing in 3 Hours - This Complete Kit Actually Delivers on the 'Complete' Promise
Size: 24"x24"x55"
What "Complete System" Actually Means This kit genuinely includes everything structural you need to start growing: 2x2x5ft grow tent (24"x24"x55") with 1680D thick mylar fabric SF1000D LED grow light with Bridgelux diodes, full spectrum (100W actual draw) 4" inline ventilation fan with carbon filter and ducting 6" clip-on circulation fan for internal airflow Rope ratchets for hanging the light Timer for light scheduling Thermometer/hygrometer for environmental monitoring All necessary mounting hardware What you'll STILL need to buy separately: growing medium (soil/coco/hydro), pots, nutrients, plants/seeds, and pH/TDS meters if growing hydroponically. But the entire structural growing environment is handled. Assembly & Setup Experience I'm reasonably handy but not an expert. Assembly took me about 3 hours working alone, occasionally referencing YouTube tutorials. The tent instructions were clear with labeled poles, though connecting some corner pieces required muscle. Pro tip: assemble the frame completely before attaching the fabric—trying to do both simultaneously is frustrating. The light came pre-wired and ready to hang—just attached rope ratchets and plugged it in. The ventilation fan required ducting installation (connecting carbon filter → fan → exhaust duct), which took trial and error to get the airflow direction correct. The clip fan simply clips to tent poles—dead simple. After assembly, the tent was light-tight (critical for flowering), structurally solid, and all components functioned properly. No missing parts, no DOA equipment—everything worked as promised. Component Breakdown & Performance SF1000D LED Grow Light (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) This is the star of the show. The Samsung LM301B and Bridgelux diodes provide genuinely effective full-spectrum lighting (3000K, 5000K, 660nm red, and 730nm IR). Performance: Vegetative growth: Excellent. Plants grew stocky with tight node spacing Flowering: Impressive yields for 100W. My first harvest yielded 3.2oz from two autoflower plants Heat output: Minimal. Light runs cool enough to keep close to canopy (12-18") Light spread: Even coverage across the 2x2 footprint with dimmer for intensity control Longevity: After 9 months (~4,000 hours), zero diode failures or performance degradation The dimmable function is clutch for seedlings and clones—start at 25% intensity and increase as plants mature. The light draws 100W actual (not the inflated "equivalent watts" some brands claim), which costs about $10-15/month on my electricity bill running 18-20 hours daily. Comparison to competitors: I've seen friends' Phlizon and Viparspectra budget lights. The Spider Farmer has noticeably better build quality, more even light distribution, and superior results. Worth the premium. 2x2x5ft Grow Tent (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) The 1680D fabric is THICK—significantly denser than budget tents I've felt at grow shops. The mylar interior is highly reflective (claimed 99%), maximizing light efficiency. Quality details: Zippers are heavy-duty and glide smoothly (no snagging after 9 months) Stitching is solid with double-stitched stress points Multiple ports for ducting, cables, etc., all with drawstring closures Floor tray is thick and waterproof (tested accidentally during a watering spill) Frame poles are sturdy metal, not flimsy thin tubes Corner connectors are metal, not plastic that'll crack Light-tightness: When zipped and ports closed, ZERO light leaks in or out. Critical during flowering when plants need uninterrupted darkness. I tested with a flashlight outside—couldn't see any glow from inside. Stability: The 5ft height provides enough vertical space for smaller plants plus light/filter overhead. I grew plants to about 30-36" tall with 12-18" clearance for equipment. Taller plants would be tight, but for autos and trained plants, it's perfect. 4" Inline Ventilation Fan & Carbon Filter (⭐⭐⭐⭐) The 4" fan (approximately 200 CFM) is adequate for this tent size. It maintains negative pressure (tent walls pull inward slightly), indicating proper air exchange. Performance: Effectively controls temperature: Keeps tent within 5°F of room temperature Humidity management: Helps vent excess moisture during watering Odor control: Carbon filter works well for the first 6-9 months, then effectiveness gradually declines (expected lifespan) Noise level: Noticeable hum around 45-50 dB. Not silent, but not disruptive in a separate room. Through a closed bedroom door, it's barely audible. Limitation: The 4" size is the minimum for a 2x2 tent. During peak flowering with high transpiration, I sometimes wished for more airflow capacity. A 6" system would provide more headroom, but the 4" gets the job done. 6" Clip Fan (⭐⭐⭐⭐) This little circulation fan is essential for preventing hot spots and strengthening plant stems. Performance: Two-speed settings (low is usually sufficient) Clips securely to tent poles with adjustable angle Oscillates gently to move air throughout canopy Quiet operation—quieter than the inline fan Durability concern: After 9 months of continuous operation, the clip tension has loosened slightly. I've had to re-tighten it a few times. This is my only minor complaint about the kit. Accessories (⭐⭐⭐⭐) Rope ratchets: Work perfectly for easily adjusting light height as plants grow. No slipping even after dozens of adjustments. Timer: Basic mechanical timer. Functional but not sophisticated. It works, though I'll probably upgrade to a digital timer eventually for precise scheduling. Thermometer/Hygrometer: Basic analog gauge. Gets you in the ballpark but isn't precise. I bought a digital version ($10) within a week for accurate readings. Real-World Growing Results Grow 1 (Autoflowers - Soil): 2 plants, 70-day lifecycle Yield: 3.2oz total dry weight Quality: Dense, aromatic buds with good trichome development Issues: Minor humidity control learning curve Grow 2 (Photoperiod - Coco Coir): 2 plants, 105-day lifecycle (30 veg, 60 flower, 15 dry/cure) Yield: 4.1oz total dry weight Quality: Noticeably improved density and resin production Issues: None—dialed in environment by this point Grow 3 (Autoflowers - Hydro DWC): 2 plants, 75-day lifecycle Yield: 3.8oz total (harvested 2 weeks ago, currently curing) Quality: Fastest growth rate yet, excellent root development The consistent 3-4oz yields from a 2x2 space exceed my expectations for a 100W light. For context, professional growers aim for 0.5-1 gram per watt—I'm achieving approximately 0.85-1.1 g/W, which is excellent. PROS: ✓ Truly complete system - Everything works together, no compatibility issues ✓ Exceptional light quality - SF1000D rivals lights costing $100+ more ✓ Thick, durable tent - 1680D fabric and heavy-duty zippers feel premium ✓ Perfect size for 1-4 plants - Ideal for personal growing or testing genetics ✓ Energy efficient - 100W light draws minimal electricity ✓ Low heat signature - LED runs cool, minimal cooling requirements ✓ Professional results - Capable of producing quality yields comparable to expensive setups ✓ Light-tight and odor-controlled - Neighbor-friendly for apartment growing ✓ Easy height adjustment - Rope ratchets make light positioning effortless ✓ Strong brand reputation - Spider Farmer is well-regarded in growing community ✓ Upgrade path available - Can add supplemental lighting or automation as skills improve ✓ Resale value holds - Quality components retain value if you upgrade later CONS: ✗ Premium price point - Around $400-500, not the cheapest complete kit option ✗ 4" ventilation is minimum spec - Adequate but not overpowered for airflow ✗ Basic accessories - Timer and thermometer are functional but not impressive ✗ Clip fan durability concern - Tension loosening after extended use ✗ Height limitation - 5ft tall restricts plant training options for large strains ✗ Carbon filter lifespan - Needs replacement after 6-12 months depending on use ✗ No automation included - No smart controls, timers, or monitoring (must add separately) ✗ Assembly learning curve - First-time tent builders may struggle slightly ✗ Limited headroom - Tall plants + equipment leaves tight vertical space ✗ Single light limits scaling - Can't easily add second light without upgrading tent size Cost Analysis & Value Proposition Kit price: ~$400-500 (varies by sales/promotions) If purchased separately: Quality 2x2 tent: $80-120 SF1000D light: $160-200 4" inline fan/filter combo: $80-120 Clip fan: $15-25 Accessories: $30-50 Total: $365-515 The kit typically prices competitively with buying components separately, with the massive advantage of guaranteed compatibility and unified customer support. You're paying roughly the same but getting significantly more convenience. Electricity cost: ~$10-15/month at average US rates (18-20 hours daily operation) ROI calculation: If growing for personal use, this setup pays for itself in 1-2 harvests compared to retail/dispensary prices. If you're replacing $200/month of purchases, you've broken even in 2-3 months. Critical Setup Tips I Learned Assemble tent frame FIRST, then add fabric - Trust me on this Mount carbon filter INSIDE tent - Better odor control than outside mounting Position inline fan after filter - Filter → Fan → Exhaust is optimal airflow Invest in digital thermometer/hygrometer - The included analog is barely adequate Buy backup carbon filter immediately - They degrade faster than expected Use the dimmer extensively - Start seedlings at 25%, gradually increase to 100% Maintain negative pressure - Tent walls should pull inward slightly indicating proper ventilation Clean tent between grows - Prevents pest/pathogen carryover Check all connections weekly - Vibrations can loosen ducting clamps Budget for pH/TDS meters - Essential if growing hydroponically Who This Kit Is Perfect For First-time indoor growers wanting a quality, foolproof setup Apartment/condo growers needing discrete, compact systems Personal-use growers (1-4 plants maximum capacity) Medical patients growing their own medicine legally Hobbyists testing genetics or trying different growing techniques People who value simplicity over customization Quality-focused growers willing to invest in proven components Anyone in legal growing states wanting odor control and efficiency Who Should Consider Alternatives Commercial growers need larger systems—this is personal-scale only. Budget-constrained buyers can find cheaper kits ($200-300), though quality suffers. Tall plant growers (sativas, heirlooms) need 6ft+ height tents. DIY enthusiasts who enjoy piecing together custom systems might prefer component selection freedom. Growers with 5+ plants need larger footprints (3x3 or 4x4 tents). Upgrade Path Recommendations Immediate additions (~$50): Digital thermometer/hygrometer pH/TDS meters (if doing hydro) Additional tie-downs for plant training 6-month upgrades (~$100): Smart power strips for automation Secondary clip fan for increased circulation Replacement carbon filter Advanced upgrades (~$200-300): Supplemental UV or IR lighting Environmental controller with automation CO2 supplementation system Long-Term Durability (9 Months, 3 Grow Cycles) Tent: Zero fabric tears, zippers function perfectly, frame remains solid. Looks nearly new with basic cleaning. SF1000D Light: Flawless performance. No diode failures, dimmer works smoothly, no heat issues. Expecting 5+ years lifespan easily. Inline Fan: Runs continuously without issues. Slightly louder after 9 months but still acceptable. Bearings seem solid. Carbon Filter: Odor control degrading noticeably around month 8-9 (expected). Replacement needed soon. Clip Fan: Functional but clip tension loosened. Requires periodic adjustments. Overall system: Exceeded durability expectations. With basic maintenance (cleaning, checking connections), should last many years. Final Verdict The Spider Farmer 2x2 complete grow tent kit is the best money I've spent on my growing hobby. The convenience of a matched, guaranteed-compatible system eliminated the frustration I experienced with my previous DIY approach. The SF1000D light alone justifies a significant portion of the cost with its performance and efficiency. Is it perfect? No—the height limitation restricts plant size options, the ventilation is adequately sized but not overpowered, and you'll want to upgrade some accessories. But these are minor quibbles for a system that consistently produces quality results with minimal fuss. For the target audience—beginners to intermediate growers wanting a quality, turnkey solution—this kit is exceptional. You're paying for Spider Farmer's reputation, quality components, and the peace of mind that everything will work together properly. That's worth the premium over budget alternatives that may save $100 upfront but cost you more in time, frustration, and potentially failed grows. After three successful harvests producing 11+ ounces total, I have zero regrets about this investment. It's enabled me to grow consistently, learn systematically, and produce quality results that meet my needs. Would I recommend this? Absolutely, especially to first-time growers who value quality and simplicity. Would I buy it again? Yes—in fact, I'm considering a second tent for perpetual harvests. Best feature? The SF1000D light's performance per watt is extraordinary. Biggest surprise? How little troubleshooting was required—it just works. Best paired with? Quality genetics and proper growing knowledge (the equipment can't compensate for bad technique). Bottom line: Stop overthinking your first grow tent setup. This complete kit provides everything structural you need to succeed, with quality components that'll serve you through many growth cycles. The investment pays for itself quickly, and you'll spend your time learning to grow rather than debugging equipment issues. ... show more

  • Great starter kit for the price
Size: 24"x24"x55"
I started buying the components separately and quickly realized that I would be spending more on the parts than if I bought this kit. The tent is stellar, seals very well and has a good amount of options to control airflow. The fan and filter are great quality. The hydrometer is cheap, and keep in mind that the light does NOT dim. It was starting to burn some leaves and I ended up changing the light for a higher quality one. As I built my setup, I replaced a few components, then purchased a smaller grow tent and put them in there. Overall a great purchase to start your journey, but if you really get into the science of growing, you will be dropping some cash on nutrients, soils, seeds, heater, humidifier, dehumidifier, Bluetooth hydrometers, Alexa enabled light timers… let’s just say the wife is not pleased. I would buy this again. ... show more

  • Impressive...delighted I spent the slight difference
Size: 24"x24"x55"
Not all grow tent kits are created equal and there is a range of Amazon offerings. I selected this seller because the inline blower has a speed control so I can dial in the optimal air flow as well as manage the sound of the blower keeping it marginal. As I compose this review the blower is so quiet I had to get up and check to see if it was operating. It is positioned within 10' of me. Quiet. The LED...another slew of Amazon offerings. Currently I am showing a 10th of a degree difference between the ambient room temp and the interior of my tent. I did purchase another LED with different characteristics. My first thought was if I need to augment I can, secondly I can stack seedling trays into two levels effectively doubling my capacity. I volunteer at a 150 acre garden in case someone was wondering why I'd need two levels. The garden has plans for a greenhouse but nada so far. I can also be flexible lighting wise during growth requirements. Another week and I should be nurturing English lavender starts. Anyway, my light meter is registering a range of 1000-1500+ (quite near optimum) using the seller kit LED panel. Extremely happy about this I upgraded my hydrometer to a transmitting model keeping the base station on my computer desk. Speaking of humidity I've attached a photo. It is a mason jar with a cheese cloth wick which I keep at the air intake. It's a low tech humidifier like a swamp cooler. My humidity changed from 37% prior to a current 52% Fellow Amazons have already provided their insights which I encourage potential buyers to read. All in all I am delighted with my investment and will recommend to my fellow volunteers ... show more
