This is great! I fought to get seeds ready to plant for years but was hampered by the inability to control heat, humidity etc. All this crop have germinated and are doing well. As I invest good money on pepper seeds this is good because you seldom get more than ten seeds and you can’t afford to waste them. SET UP. Easy enough but read the instructions. Certain frame bars go certain places. I had planned on taking it down between seasons. Nope. I don’t think it would last long like that. Also there’s the fan to deal with. Plan where to put it and leave it. Doesn’t mean it’s not built sturdy. Heavy canvas and zipper. But frame is tight fit inside and attempting to repeatedly remove and replace it could damage the lining. Also built a table to raise whole thing a foot. Getting too old to knee on floor. USING. Mine is in a cold basement. Does not come with heater and light does not produce enough. First I made a table to raise trays to a comfortable height and to allow room for heater. 250watt heater is plenty. Connect to a thermostat control. Had to put a small USB run fan behind it to keep it from overheating the internal breaker when it’s shut down. It would come back on after 30minutes or so but that was too long to keep temp constant. To control humidity place a metal bucket of water in front of heater. Adjust humidity by varying distance to heater. Humidity meter comes with tent. FAN. Circulation fan works well. Very quiet and can be run very slow. They recommend putting the filter in the tent. Not really room in one this small. Mounted it overhead. See photo. HOOKUP. You’re going to need several outlets and timers. Have a timer on circulation fan since it blows in cold air I limit the time it runs. Also out one on light to turn off at night. OVERVIEW. Big investment for me but has made my growing so controllable and easy that it is totally worth every penny. If you’re serious about growing this is the way to go. I read some complains that it will not keep ALL the light inside. True. It will leak small amounts in various places. Not a concern for me. ... show more

So far so good - setup was simple enough, and although there are a lot of instructions (too many almost), they could be more clear. That said, it took me about 1 hour to fully setup the entire system by myself so I can’t complain too much. I would suggest assembling the fabric tent to the frame from the bottom side up, and don’t be afraid to apply some pressure to pull it all together. I had a hell of a time trying from the top down. The frame poles could fit a little more snugly; they wobble quite a bit if handled without some care, so the sturdiness of them long-term is questionable but seem to be doing the job, so time will tell. The light assembly comes with instructions but is already assembled in the box, which was nice. It seems to be more than sufficiently bright with a dial to adjust intensity as required, and really does not put off much heat despite being so bright. The metal panel is solid, very solid. Better quality than I was expecting, so I’m pretty happy with the light overall Plenty of exhaust/fresh air ports for an array of setup options and the Velcro is strong, as are the cinches on the exhaust ports. Have mine set up with exhaust fan inside, carbon filter outside, and the whole kit near an open window for fresh air. No smell so far, and seems to be good quality. The only true complaint I have is the quality of the zippers: they seemed very sturdy at first with nice rubber, branded pull tabs. But already with approximately 1-2 tent openings per day for 2 weeks, they tend to get stuck a lot and require some tinkering to resolve, which makes me think it will only get worse. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the purchase as I was comparing brands and kits for weeks, and I believe I made the right choice. Even with the zippers being questionable, I can’t give anything less than 5 stars here; great kit, great price, seeing very good results so far. ... show more

I'd recommend this tent bc of the size, quality & this company Spider Farmer. Making it just over 2ft wide is so awesome, it allows for extra room for humidifiers or fans, while still giving you many options for how many plants, 1 , 2 3 or even 4 5 gal pots can easily fit in with tent along with other equipment as you can see in my pics. The height is great too at over 5ft. Really smart to make these slighter larger tent options. Spider Farmer also helped me with questions & responded fast. The light is very good & has good reputation. The fan runs a lot quieter than what I've experienced with some other brands. I've also had no problems with light leaks. I like how theres a vent in the back of this too. That way you can put that right up against a wall & really helps keep light from getting in while still allowing fresh air in. Smart placement. For new growers, I think this is a great kit to buy bc this tent is really awesome, but it gives you everything you need to get started right away (minus the soil & seeds) Easy to set up & this was my 1st time getting a tent & growing anything & while I'm still learning, I'm so glad I invested in this tent kit & will be using it all for long time. ... show more
