This setup is actually pretty good for an 8” sub and amp. Sounds really good and for the price it’s an awesome package. Something to know and understand is when you add a sub it’s best to also install a new aftermarket radio with low input connection. Barely get any bass just using the factory radio with the high input connection. People talking down on this setup may have it hooked up wrong or to stock with high input. Trust me there is a big difference when connected to an aftermarket radio. It’s not going to shake the block like the 2 12s I used to have but sounds great to add good bass and takes little space. I'm used to the Walmart special and finally decided I wanted to step it up a bit to something with a stand alone amp. I did my research on YouTube on the db series amps and ALL Dyno higher than stated. The subs seemed to have great reviews so I grabbed one... OUTSTANDING JOB ROCKVILLE!!! This little 8" sub and amp, genuinely thump! Are going to make the mirror fall off, naw... Will it vibrate so hard you'll laugh trying to see traffic, sure will!!! I have a 2003 cavalier and this is almost too much according to the wife. However, I'm soo impressed for the sound vs size, I'm absolutely buying a second one to fill the trunk backing lol. Do your research, Rockville may be entry level, but it's entry level QUALITY stuff that always performs!

sound quality is poor compared to other set ups I've owned. I put it in my daughter's car for her first system . My wife's 2011 Toyota Sienna base model, stock system has cleaner, clearer harder hitting bass.

Installed in the trunk of an 05 accord. Can’t even tell it’s there over the STOCK paper door and rear deck speakers. Alpine ute70something mechless radio, subwoofer level set to 15, lpf and hpf sweep to get any signs of life. This is a swing and a miss. Tried a separate amp, tried laying back seats down. It sounds like a Walmart sub in a vehicle three car lengths behind you. Maybe this box can be used indoors for home theater applications, but you will have no razzle dazzle in automotive. Presentation and packaging and quality is all great, but speaker response is looooouuusy.

The media could not be loaded. I've known of Rockville for their competition high wattage stuff. So I figured I'd give this a try and I am very happy. I've been doing systems for years since I could drive. It's so small and compact very light weight which is perfect for my fiesta st. However pull the sub and check wires they have the negative soldered to the red push connection. So I just wired it the right way.
