Had this subwoofer installed under the front side of the front drivers seat on a 2017 VW Passat. It is absolutely a perfect fit under there. I chose this place under the front seat because on the back side there or floor vents under the seat. The Bass is very good for full range sound that high end factory system have like Bose, Boston acoustics, infinity etc where the car has a factory amp/sub. This doesn’t hit real hard like 10” subs do, but for the dove this thing takes, it’s amazing. Even the guy at the stereo shop that did the install didn’t think it was going to be as good as it was for the size it is. The only fault I find is the bass does seem to be more on the left side of the vehicle for obvious reason. Considering a second now underneath the other seat now. ... show more

Wasn’t looking to share my tunes with the next county over, just wanted to fill in the low notes my factory system was leaving out. If I crank this 6x8 all the way up, it will start to rattle the car, but that’s not what I was looking for. What I love is that it effortlessly delivers solid clear base at the low end. Worth noting: The RCA input won’t work with auto on (as pointed out in the fine print) and the remote on/off won’t work without at least a 5V charge (also in the fine print). My head unit has a remote on/off connection that doesn’t reach 5V, so I couldn’t get the thing to power on. With some research, I found you can 1) use a jumper from the “+12V” connection to the “REM” connection; or 2) twist half the power lead into the “+12V” connection and the other half to the “REM” connection. ... show more

Broke after 6 months with volume only 1/4 way up. I would give it 1 star, but it did work for 6 months and sound okay during that time. 🤷♂️

This is a powerful unit for its size and price. I installed it under the driver seat in a convertible, and even with the top down it still rocks out bass. Keep in mind that these under the seat all in one compact units are meant to be installed in the driver/passenger car cabin, not in the back of the trunk unless you have no air blockage between the unit and the driver. If you are planning on installing subs in the back of the trunk, get a dual 10” or more with a separate amplifier so you won’t be disappointed. But on the other hand, if you are planning on installing this unit under the passenger or driver seat, this unit pumps more than enough bass to satisfy the average soul. ... show more

    • 1.5 Months is all it lasted!
I bought this in Feb for Son's first vehicle, installed in May, at first sounded great for it's size then it just stopped working! Power light is on, installed in a different vehicle, rewired and replaced fuse and still nothing! Less than 2 months of usage!
