After a year I would say best cheap subwoofer you can buy, it comes with everything you need but if you want to use your stock radio you need an LOC converter, many people say to connect the LOC to the head unit but theres no problem connecting it to the + and - on the rear speakers. The bass is great it slightly rattles mirrors and when it starts clipping it doesnt sound like it’s about to blow up. Me personally I have the amp on max bass and the speakers hold up well. Love the fact that this was a cost effective upgrade. Comes with an Amp and a kicker and the wiring. You cant beat that. Easy to install, if you know what your doing. The hardest part is getting it fine tuned per your radio. I have this hooked up to a Kenwood radio that has so many features it makes my brain numb. SO everything is working great. Cant go wrong with this deal. I may get another one for my spare ride. There is one thing, buy some form of mounting brackets or strap, if its in a spot where it will fly around. Like in my Magnum, see pic's. I had 2 aluminum brackets already, so I put this in and it is not going anywhere. I mounted the amp to the back of the kicker. Sounds great.     • Decent for a basic setup
Son bought this for his first car (2004 Hyundai Sonata). Install was pretty straightforward using included RCA cables with no real issues. Everything that was needed was in the kit (except for a grommet that we needed for a hole we drilled in the firewall, not all vehicles will need this). He had a very basic head unit from here on Amazon, so nothing spectacular. Adding the sub allowed us to turn the bass down on the main speakers (6x9 in the rear, 6 1/4 front). Cleared up the sound quality overall, and gave increased bass response. While not a "shake the windows" bass, it was enough that you could "feel" the bass, without making the whole car rattle and no distortion of sound. After about 4 months of use, 1 speaker stopped working. Pulled it apart to find that a wire from the terminal to the speaker had broken. No way to repair. Contacted Rockville about warranty, they requested a pic of the damage. After I sent it, it was approved, and once I sent a pic of the speaker destroyed, they sent me a new one. About 3 weeks total from first contact till new speaker installed. Not bad at all, and glad to have had a great customer service experience. Will look to Rockville for further audio needs. ... show more

I love these subs they are amazing the install was a little more difficult than expected for this being my first time doing subs. Had to adjust some setting on the amp to make the sound more clear just based onthe setting on my head unit but overall great price and will be back to buy more for other vehicles haven't rlly been able to test durability but from little I have they hold up great. Size was a little tricky in my crew car but I made it work while still being able to use my seat. Overall great look great power and great durability so far ... show more

This is a BUDGET SUBWOOFER. Just returned mine because the sound is very bad. You get what you pay for that’s all I can say. The amp is very good, used it for a day to power new Rockford double 12inch subwoofers and they sound great. Huge difference from these

Called customer service and they were no help. Shame on me for buying a used system from Amazon. That came with a blown subwoofer. There warranty department is a joke. Better to buy a real name brand than some Rockville junk. Again shame on me for buying junk. Be careful buying anything from Rockville. They are shysters ... show more
