This little sub... I can't even say enough , I normally run a skar 12 EVL wired at 1 ohm and around 1450 w rms .. that's awesome but it takes a lot of trunk space. Wanted to grab an 8" to be able to use while shopping and man .. this punisher is amazing ! Hits the lows decent and at around 40-50 hz .. it wangs ! I bought this subwoofer and a new 8" box from Amazon. This item did sound great when it was first installed into my wife's car. We are in our 50's. A week later she calls me and said she smelled something burning but didn't see smoke. When she got home I open the door of the car and was hit with a strong scent of like electricity or burnt paper. I open the trunk and it was a really bad odor. I thought the amp had fried but it was the Subwoofer. After removing it from the box it was like the cone and wires were hanging off of it. I tried preforming a return as (damage or defective) but it stated that the manufacture would not accept and I wasn't allowed to complete a return or swap within my stated return time. Now I'm stuck with a $125.00 loss. Will not do this again..... Clearly there was something wrong or a defect with this item or it was used before! ... show more
