  • Package Includes: (2) Rockville RVL69W 6x9-Inch 300-Watt Peak/150-Watt RMS Competition Cast Aluminum Car Subwoofers with 4-Ohm Impedance, 2-Inch High-Temperature Voice Coils, Butyl Rubber Surrounds, and Non-Pressed Paper Cones
  • Extreme Power Handling: Designed for competition-level output, each RVL69W subwoofer handles 150-Watts RMS and 300-Watts Peak. Double-stacked 60-Oz magnets and 2-Inch CCAW voice coils deliver high excursion, deep lows, and clean mid-bass response, ideal for enthusiasts demanding powerful, distortion-free sound.
  • Heavy-Duty Construction: Featuring an open expanded aluminum basket, phase plug dustcap, and heavy cast frame, these woofers ensure maximum cooling and stability under high load. Weighing 9 pounds each, they outperform typical 6x9 drivers with superior magnet force and advanced cone dynamics for extended durability.
  • Superior Sound Quality: Frequency response from 50Hz-8kHz and 92dB sensitivity guarantee full-range reproduction across mid-bass and low-end tones. The butyl rubber surround minimizes distortion, while the non-pressed paper cone enhances linearity and delivers accurate, competition-grade performance in any enclosure.
  • Built for Precision Audio Systems: With a 4-Ohm impedance, large magnet structure, and robust construction, these woofers can be installed in standard 6x9 openings or custom enclosures. Perfect for SPL competitors, audiophiles, or car audio builders seeking deep, tight, and responsive mid-bass to bridge subs and mids.

Description

The Rockville RVL69W Competition 6x9-Inch Car Subwoofers (Pair) deliver exceptional mid-bass and low-frequency performance designed for serious car audio enthusiasts and competitors. Each speaker produces 300 Watts Peak and 150 Watts RMS, combining deep, punchy bass with powerful midrange clarity. These woofers are engineered with 2-Inch high-temperature CCAW voice coils and double-stacked 70-Oz magnets, providing strength and precision normally found in larger subwoofers. The open cast aluminum basket maximizes airflow and cooling, while the non-pressed paper cone and butyl rubber surround ensure tight, controlled movement for distortion-free sound reproduction. Each speaker weighs 9 pounds, a testament to its solid, competition-grade build. With a frequency response of 50Hz-8kHz and sensitivity of 92dB, the RVL69W fills the gap between subwoofers and midrange drivers, producing frequencies most standard mids cannot reach. The phase plug dustcap enhances cooling and dispersion, and the expanded aluminum frame maintains rigidity at high SPL levels. Designed for 4-Ohm impedance systems, these drivers perform equally well in factory 6x9 mounts or sealed/ported enclosures. Ideal for car audio builds, competition vehicles, or systems where mid-bass impact is critical, the Rockville RVL69W speakers deliver unmatched performance, handling power and accuracy that far exceeds typical 6x9 drivers. Built for precision, durability, and power - these are true competition mid-bass woofers.

  • Great for rock and metal. Installation was a challenge.
I installed these speakers in the rear deck of my 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid in place of the factory 6x9s since I wanted stronger bass without losing any trunk space. I also installed a Rockville RXA-T1 amplifier to power them, which fit nicely between the speakers on the underside of the rear deck, as well as a Scosche line-out converter with volume remote I installed in the center console. The finished project looks and sounds great considering the modest amount of money spent. The sound: My Fusion's factory stereo was already using the 6x9s as woofers, so I did not use any kind of low-pass filter other than whatever the factory already had in place. These speakers are much more substantial in every way than the factory speakers and sound the part. They seem to struggle with lower, synthetic frequencies in hip-hop and rap music or with excessive bass boost at the amp, which will cause them to bottom out and distort. This is not much of an issue to me since I mostly listen to rock, heavy metal, and nu-metal, which is what these speakers seem to like playing. I have had them in use for almost two weeks, and they seem to be getting louder and clearer with time. Admittedly, I don't run them too hard since doing so creates the resonant sounds of subwoofers trying to shake a car to pieces, which is not a sound I enjoy. They would probably sound even better mounted in an enclosure, but that would cost me trunk space and I am overall very pleased with the results. The installation: As I said, I installed these in place of my factory woofers in the rear deck. I believe the listing said they will fit a standard 6x9 opening, but they did not fit the openings in my car. Actually, there are probably very few cars these would fit without some degree of sheet metal surgery or depth concerns due to the size of these things. Rockville was kind enough to include some nice cardboard templates in the boxes for marking for cutouts. They are not labeled as such, but that is clearly what they are for. 20 minutes with a jigsaw and right-angle drill and they fit my car, although at this point there is no going back to original. Overall, this is a niche speaker that was perfect for what I wanted to do with it. If you want big, throbbing bass that will set off car alarms and win SPL competitions, this is not the speaker for you. If you want a little more oomph to the lower register of your music in a package that will not eat your trunk space and be easily seen (and stolen), these may be a good choice if you are open to the possibility of minor modifications to accommodate the unusually large basket. ... show more

  • You won't be disappointed
These are built with quality and Will give you plenty of bass. Especially if you don't want a huge over weight subwoofer box in your tunk. You might want to buy the silicone cones to put under the speaker, if you want more bass.

  • They resonated the deck so bad it sounded like the car was going to fall ...
I put these in the rear deck lid of my 2014 Camry behind the seats below the windshield. They resonated the deck so bad it sounded like the car was going to fall off the frame. I had to Dynamat from the back seats to the rear windshield underneath the deck lid cover. Then I had to use tape to tighten up all of the plastic snap pins for the trunk liner. Then I had to use Dynamat to insulate the tire changing kit from the trunk pan. Once I did all that I created a custom amp mount and I'm pushing 250 Watts RMS to each subwoofer. They hit harder than a boxed 10 inch in my buddies Civic. My friends are jealous of my install and I don't have a huge box in my trunk. I would totally spend the money again. ... show more

  • i received these bad boys via UPS there packaging was excellent
i received these bad boys via UPS there packaging was excellent ..I installed these monster in the back dash on my 2007 Impala SS. i'm currently running the factory Bose sound system.. I tell you what the sound is INCREDIBLE my car is rocking and the bass resonates the cars sub-frame ..you can feel the bass in the car. this is the best sound I've heard in a while .i'm so satisfied that i also purchase a new double din radio just to enhance the sound and looks even further. A few of my friends love the sound they heard and the clean installation the avoids the big box in the trunk just to have a strong subs. Thank you so much for having these Sub Woofers.. My friends surely are going to buy them and i may do another set for my wife VAN. ... show more

  • Had to change my review
The media could not be loaded. They sounded junk when I first installed but I added some poli fill for more air space. And these things go hard for 6x9's I only have 2 right now but I bet with 4 it could match up full sized 10". Super happy for now just hope they don't blow early l. Will order more just in case they ever discontinue these. Video is on low settings ... show more

  • No low
These speakers are advertised as subwoofers but they're somewhat in between a sub and a midrange speakers but the lows are not clear you're getting a lot of distortion

  • Great product, great value
These woofers are one of the few 6x9 dedicated woofers available, and have larger magnets / more power handling, and are cheaper than the other offerings - a great replacement for the CTS ones that had fried voice coils, even though they were supposedly within the powor of my amp.
