  • Just what the doctor ordered - literally
Color: Grey
I bought this chair because I'm actually under doctor's orders to keep my disabled leg elevated as much as possible to help my wound close. I looked at dozens and dozens of candidates before settling on this. Pros: extremely comfortable, without that sinking feeling that some of these style of chairs have; swivels a full 360° and rocks easily without being too 'slippery'; easy to get in and out of even for someone that's disabled like me with a bad leg (for someone that's more frail or shorter or weaker this might not be true); cupholders are a great innovation and are ample and secure enough for the tall drinking glasses I use; there are two pockets on the front of each side that accommodate smartphones comfortably which can be looked into the USB charger that is connected with a port on the hand control for the vibration and heating element; and the whole thing is fairly easy to assemble even though the estimated 20 minutes to do it probably only applies to workers that have done it hundreds of times at the factory. The cost is less than expected because the base framework isn't made of wood but the kind of duroplast plastic panels that snap together and are then secured with long steel bolts, which probably makes it a lot more durable than traditional chairs based on a wood framework. Cons: the fabric covers for the sides, with the arm rests and cupholders mounted on them, are hard to pull over the frame fully, and despite my best efforts there's approximately an inch or two on both sides that were simply too much to zip up tightly, but the good thing is the zipper is out of sight anyway. Also, the cushioned fabric flap for the seat and cover that extends over the footrest appears to be loose when the footrest is in the down position, but that's a minor aesthetic flaw that can probably be corrected after I fine tune it - since I've only had it assembled for a day and a half. Also, the footrest is extended using a flexible pull lever that comes up from inside the chair, between the seat and the right side, and while this works okay getting it extended, as others have noted it can be very hard getting the footrest back down because there's no hard lever on the outside that you can simply use your hand to push it back down with. Considering that this chair is selling in the $250 range, it's an exceptional deal if you want something new that doesn't come with years of other people's bacteria, dirt and dust that have been absorbed into a used chair. ... show more

  • Great chairs for the price!
Color: Grey
This is an incredibly comfortable chair, and it works perfectly for my boyfriend—he absolutely loves it! Not only is it a high-quality recliner for the price, but it also proves that I know how to pick excellent furniture for him. I was initially concerned that the massage mechanism might feel intrusive when just sitting, but it’s surprisingly subtle and relaxing, working out knots without discomfort. The chair is deep and supportive, though manually closing it and getting up requires some leg strength—so it may not be ideal for those with mobility concerns. But if that’s not an issue, this is a fantastic buy! A stylish, comfortable massaging chair for under $300? You really can’t ask for more. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Awesome chair, but not for the novice
Color: Grey
We had another chair like this, but another model. This chair arrived in good condition, However assembly was a nightmare, and I got my son to help me. There are a lot of pieces to put together, defiantly a two person job. I consider myself extremely mechanically incline, having a machine shop in my garage. The little cheap tools they provide don't do the job. One huge question I had is, "What would a single person living in a small apartment NYC do, or a older lady in a seniors village?" They would never be able to put this together. The main sticking point is the English converted manual. They way it is written is very confusing, and the photos don't point to what they are explaining. Finally, I went on YT and found an older video of this chair and saw that the factory assembled part had to be unscrewed and removed, then screwed to the other parts. In closing the chair looks nice, operates nice, has nice quality and is very sturdy. Just make sure you have the people and the tools! ... show more

  • Great bargain on a fully featured recliner!
Color: Grey
I'll start with the only negative: this recliner is not for beginners as far as the assembly is concerned. Some of the pieces are flip flopped, right is left, left is right. So some intuition is required, and you may have to backtrack to get it just right. But once it's all together, it is an amazing recliner. The cushions are soft, the massage and heat function is incredible, the swivel/glider/rocking mechanism is smooth. You do have to manually close the foot rest with your own leg power so some may find that cumbersome, but I don't mind at all. Overall this recliner is an amazing deal, places like Living Spaces or Ashley charge hundreds more for a chair with the same features. I highly recommend this chair, I may just buy another one! ... show more

  • Nice chair!
Color: Grey
This is a nice chair. We were a little overwhelmed when we were unpacking it, but once we got started, it was fine. We were able to put it together in under a half hour. It's comfortable. We love the heat and massage/vibration. We were a little worried that it might be small, but it fits my 5'10" husband just fine. The hassock/footrest is a little hard to put down but other than that - we love it! ... show more

  • So comfortable and great price!
Color: Grey
I got this chair for my reading corner. It is so comfortable! So many great things to say about this chair. The pockets are a nice feature! One on each side and 2 in front by the cup holders. I put my charge cords and other books in them. The massage option is amazing. Has many different settings. Heat as well. Easy to use the foot rest. Has a release by your leg on the seat. Was really easy to put together. Instructions came with it and there is also a video you can watch on the product page. The material is nice and easy to clean. I chose gray because it went with my room. Would recommend, however one thing I will say is that it's so comfortable, that I end up falling asleep while reading. Lol ... show more

  • caution to buyers
Color: Grey
It is a comfortable chair, But VERY hard to pit together! Took 3 of us a few hours. We actually gave up and finished the next day. In order to recline you have to pull on a cord from the inside of the chair.. The cord does not seem strong enough to last a long time. It is a good chair to take a nap on but not for sleeping long periods of time like I have to. ... show more
