Description

ROBERTS 2057 Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) Adhesive is a clear, solvent-free, water-based, thin-spread adhesive that provides excellent grab and high residual tack. This superior grade adhesive brushes, rolls or trowels on and helps hold tiles firmly in place, even when subjected to repeated cleaning and mopping. When spread thinly as instructed, the adhesive dries correctly and turns clear, allowing chalk lines to remain visible. This adhesive is also suitable for installing vinyl-composition or vinyl-asphalt tile over existing vinyl-composition or vinyl-asphalt subfloors that are free from waxes, sealers and finishes.

    • Warning : Super Sticky!
This stuff is next-level sticky! I used this to re-stick some old peel and stick flooring that was coming up. I was able to re-stick the old tiles, and then I used this to add some extra adhesive on the new peel and stick vinyl planks that I was installing. They have not budged at all, and I've used it to add some extra sticking power to some peel and stick faux brick on the walls in our house. We're currently re-painting and modernizing our house, and this stuff has really helped to make our DIY updates more permanent. This stuff is dangerously sticking though. After doing the floors, my hands were sticky for days. I tried using rubbing alcohol and acetone to remove it from my hands, and this stuff would not budge.. I did some laundry and made the mistake of cleaning the lint trap, and I ended up with linty fingers for two days. I then tried using some simple black vinyl gloves that I'd had in the house and they got so sticky that I was struggling to move my fingers in them. This stuff is good & holds vinyl tile down really well. But u might get it on a doorknob or maybe a shower curtain etc. Because it's pretty messy, but as long as u get some Goo Gone it'll be fine.

I used it for bathroom repair, where the edge of vinyl floor damaged by water. It took about two days to dry up. If the adhesive gets onto the surface of the floor, it becomes sticky, but it works.

The gallon tub does not have a securely sealed designed lid, sufficient for shipping. I opened the box and was greeted with adhesive everywhere, including on me.
