Description

ROBERTS 6700 adhesive was designed for exterior or interior carpet installation and is a solvent-free for reduced health risks, a lower environmental footprint and high initial grab. This non-flammable adhesive may be used in areas where flammable adhesives pose a health risk due to fumes or flashback fires. Use this adhesive to adhere most indoor/outdoor carpets with polypropylene, rubber-backed (foam, marine, waffle), urethane and tufted, woven or non-woven/needle-bond backings.

It’s easy to work with, has a good “open time” tackiness until it sets and it is waterproof. Wear old work clothes so if it gets on them, you don’t worry—it won’t come off. Let me start by saying, this carpet glue means serious business when it comes to holding things together. It's like the superhero of adhesives, with an extreme hold that's practically unmatched. Once it sets, you can trust that whatever you've glued isn't going anywhere. However, there's a bit of a learning curve with this product. While its strength is impressive, it also means you need to handle it with care. It has a tendency to stick to everything it comes into contact with, so being neat and precise during application is crucial. I learned this the hard way when my gloves ended up sticking to my tools. It was a bit of a sticky situation, pun intended! But once I got the hang of it and started being more careful, the process became much smoother. Despite the initial challenges, I have to admit, the results speak for themselves. The carpet is securely in place, and I have no doubts about its durability over time. Now that I pulled up carpet that needed replacing I found this stuff just never fully cured, mind you this is after 6 months!! The purpose of glue is to bond 2 things together and cure. The fact that carpet generally does not require strong bonding to stay in place doesn't change the fact this stuff utterly failed. if glue, any glue, does not cure then it failed at what it was designed to do. It is an absolute nightmare to remove. It is easy to apply but garbage otherwise. ... show more
