Description

ROBERTS 2057 Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) Adhesive is a clear, solvent-free, water-based, thin-spread tile adhesive that provides excellent grab and high residual tack. This superior grade tile adhesive brushes, rolls or trowels on and helps hold tiles firmly in place, even when subjected to repeated cleaning and mopping. When spread thinly as instructed, the adhesive dries correctly and turns clear, allowing chalk lines to remain visible. This adhesive is also suitable for installing vinyl-composition or vinyl-asphalt tile over existing vinyl-composition or vinyl-asphalt subfloors that are free from waxes, sealers and finishes.

Very messy and sticky but washes off your hands with the Fast Orange, takes it off with a little scrubbing. Seems to be working good, laying peel and stick vinyl tile and so far they are staying in place.

Very sticky and easily get stuck on anything so be careful. This stuff is very thin. I found it best to apply with a paint brush. Takes a while to dry which can be good or bad. Good for me because it allows me to align tiles before it sets. Note that regular soap will not get this off of you hand.     • This stuff works better than I anticipated

I got this to reinforce peel and stick vinyl tile. I admit I was a bit cautious and didn't expect much from it due to low cost. I've ended up using expensive silicone based sealants on the past. That didn't last long though and left a mess on my wood underneath that was almost impossible to remove. This stuff did the job. I don't think I will ever have to worry about my tile coming up now. It dried quicker than expected and was easy to use. I got a old paint brush and a silicone spatula from the kitchen to apply it with. A little goes a long way is what I learned. Before I finished my project I realized I could use sparse amount and only only the edges to achieve the holding power I was looking for. Good quality stuff at an amazing price ... show more

What a sticky mess this stuff made. Seemed too thin to me, but what do I know. I'm not a floor guy. It took weeks to cure, and was difficult to clean off the surfaces of the tiles. the long cure time was mostly my fault, but it still seemed like it should not have taken so long.

I just redid a floor with vinyl tile. The tile was supposed to be self sticking but wasn't. This stuff held it down with no movement once it dried. Highly recommend.
