Description

Ww henry exterior carpet adhesive is specially formulated for the installation of outdoor carpeting and easily bonds to many surfaces including concrete, asphalt paving and other clean, sound paving surfaces (not asphalt roofing), exterior or marine grade plywood decking which is sound and not subject to deterioration (not plank decking or treated wood), aluminum boat decks which are clean and roughened, fiberglass which has been roughened, substrates which have been painted, stained or otherwise coated must be tested to assure compatibility with the adhesive. The water resistant adhesive provides a strong initial grab, long working time, excellent bond integrity and trowelability with no open time required allowing for easy, hassle-free application. For best results temperatures should be 65 degrees Fahrenheit (18 degrees Celsius) or above in areas where adhesive is to be used. Efficiently covers approximately 90 to 108 sq ft per gallon using a 1/8”x1/16”x1/8” trowel.

I used this to glue carpet back onto a fiberglass side of a boat where it had begun to pull away. Make sure you get a carpet adhesive spreader for this as well or you will have a tough time applying it without one. Also be careful as this stuff can be messing and it adheres to things pretty fast. For my application after spreading the glue onto the carpet that had pulled away I had to hold in place for about 2 minutes and after that it stayed in place. This stuff does have a pretty strong odor so make sure to either use it outside or if you have to be indoors use a mask. ... show more

Worked great on my bass boat! Spreads easily and is very sticky! Make sure to wear rubber gloves, this stuff is very hard to clean if you get it somewhere it doesnt need to be!

We used it for a Klamath Boat restoration. I first purchased another product from home depot and it didn't work. In fact it ruin a portion of the carpet. We had to re-carpet two major sections, not cheap. Anyhow, after reading a few reviews of "Henry" I decided to try it. Amazing to say the least! Goes on easy and is workable after a couple hours. Be sure to use a roller on the carpet surface after you apply the product, this will help with a nice even spread throughout the two surfaces. Thanks!! ... show more

One bucket was enough for a 18.5’ bass boat. Easy to use but Wear gloves! This stuff sticks to skin better than fiberglass. Easy clean up with acetone though.

I used this glue when I re carpeted my boat, it has only been a month and the boat has only Been out twice at the time of this review but so far I have no complaints. The glue is (considering it is glue) easy to work with and doesn't smell too bad when applying. If applying in an enclosed area be sure to consider ample ventilation though because it will overpower you in a tight space while it is setting up. Once cured its pretty much odorless ... show more
