I ordered 4 bottles to install 1300 sqft of 5" flooring, then ordered three more because I thought that surely could not be enough. We were able to use one bottle for around 350-400 sqft with some more in the bottle. It applies easily and smoothly. Cure time for foot traffic (per the bottle) is 24 hours, 10-15 minute set time. We sat a little i-heater in the room as we finished it, turned on the ceiling fan, and had zero problems. At one point we had to stop halfway through a room and the edge where we stopped was an excellent tripping hazard. I stepped on the edge about 2 hours after it had been installed and expected the flooring to pop out, but it didn't. The joint didn't even flex. It probably would with more pressure or weight, but I was impressed. After letting it sit for 24 hours we walked, jumped, and slid heavy furniture across the floors. We listened for any popping sounds and checked for any joints that might separate but saw nothing. I'm sure time will tell, so if this changes in the next few years I'll update my review. Hints- use the smallest opening marked on the cap, and cut at an angle. You only need to stick the longest point into the groove, the glue runs easily and you don't need a lot. Keep a few towels or rags nearby, an occasional drip or poor aim might happen. It wipes off easily and cleanly. Before you put the black cover/cap on it, wipe the spout down with a damp towel. *UPDATE* We've had our floors down now for about 18 months. I'm still impressed with this product. The flooring we installed runs through our kitchen and I was concerned that water from the sink might get under the flooring and create issues. Nada. We even had a dishwasher leak. It didn't go through the glued areas at all. The only spot that has been an issue is a small spot in a heavily trafficked area. There's a slightly uneven joint in the subfloor that the flooring lies perpendicular to, so it's sort of like it slightly teeter-totters over that spot. Over the summer the glue bond in that area seems to have broken down and we were hearing a little click. I ended up adding a couple screws under the baseboards to hold that small area down so it wasn't flexing. No problems since. I am updating this because we are installing another 1200 sqft of the same flooring, this time over a concrete floor. Even with the vapor barrier we are concerned about humidity. We like to DIY and do our own home Improvement projects when possible. We decided to redo all the floors in our house. We started with the living room. Within days, I was seeing seams in our LVT flooring. The click and lock system was just not holding up. It was a nightmare, but we ripped up the entire floor and I ordered this glue to give it one more try. It’s been over six months, and not one seam! We’ve since ordered it a couple more times and have used it in multiple rooms as we install the planks. We don’t use it on every single plank, but maybe 1 out of 3 planks in the center of rooms, and EVERY plank along the perimeter of each room. This has kept us from having to redo any more areas. I know it’s supposed to be a “floating” style floor, but that was a disaster. An “S” shaped squirt of glue on each bird before we click it in place does the job! I whole heartedly plan on purchasing at least two more bottles as we slowly work to complete each room in the house. ... show more

    • What you need for engineered T&G flooring
Have never glued a floating floor before, but the product I chose required it (engineered acacia wood flooring tongue and groove). For 700 SF of flooring, I ended up using a total of 5-1/2 bottles of the stuff (including one other different brand from Lowe's as I underestimated the amount I would use initially). This is pretty much spot on with the bottle's indicated consumption. Understand that you are supposed to wait 24 hours before walking on the floor, so plan accordingly. I used smallish pcs of scrap plywood to distribute my weight over the walking path until it was dry. Once you get the feel for how much to apply, the process goes pretty quickly. Not sure how much different this product truly is from ordinary wood glue such as Titebond or Elmer's, but I used it anyway since that is what it is advertised to be for. ... show more

    • Made a Floor of "the Strong, Silent Type" to Walk On. Water Soluble. Easy Clean-up.
This glue securely bonded together tongue and groove bamboo, making for a very silent floor. At first, there was a little too much waste, as I was on the learning curve toward understanding exactly how much to apply and precisely where to apply it. Not to worry, the glue is water soluble during this stage and so it wipes off the wood surfaces and cleans up very easily with a wet rag. A small bead applied to the leading edge of the top of the tongue and the leading edge of the bottom of the groove works its way through the joint as the tongue and groove are pressed together. Once I got the hang of that, there was very little waste. The tongue and groove planks were strongly bonded together as one contiguous floating sheet and this made for a floor that is of "the strong, silent type" to walk on. ... show more

The bottle has been clearly used. Glue drips all down the wide of it and it's about 3/4 full. I'm sure the product itself is fine so this is more a critique of Amazon directly for selling something in this condition. All the more reason to go back to shopping brick and mortar retailers.

Glue worked great bottle did around 250sf. I had to go to lowes to get a bottle as i needed to do another 125sf. I paid 11.00 for glue at lowes for same size but different brand (think it was blue hawk). Problem with glue from lowes is very messy and runs really bad. This glue is easy to work with and is very has a very strong bond. Next day i went to pull a piece up that was chip and need less to say i had a hard time removing it. I layed laminated floor with it wanted a little added security because of dogs etc. A++++ highly recommend ... show more

    • Worked as advertised! 1300 sq/ft of flooring later!
I did my basement floor with this which was around 1300 square feet. That took roughly 3 bottles. Keep in mind I may have been going a little light on the glue as I didn't have much bleed through the seems after connected. Pro Tip: It helped from a speed prospective to stop using the glue when it got low and add it to the more full bottle when that one got a little lower. When the bottle got low it took more time to get the glue to come out(not a product flaw just the viscosity of the glue made it happen) ... show more
