Description

This product raises the total alkalinity in swimming pool water. It boosts the effectiveness of your pool water disinfectant, as well as aids in the prevention of scale formation, metal corrosion and the etching of pool surfaces. It helps maintain your pool’s pH level and eliminates pH “bounce”. Easy to use and dissolves quickly. Test for total alkalinity with a reliable test kit. The desired range for total alkalinity is as follows: Fiberglass Pools 70-100 ppm, Marcite, Painted, Tile, or Exposed Aggregate Pools 80-120 ppm, Vinyl Pools 120-140 ppm. If the total alkalinity is less than this desired range, add this product directly to the pool water while the pump is in operation, in accordance with the included table.

Works well at a good price
Size: 10-Pounds
This was $10 cheaper than the same product and amount from my local Leslie’s Pool store. I purchased their product and it didn’t even move the needle of my pool’s alkalinity. Half of this bag got me where it needed to be, happy with the results.

Chemicals work, bag is flimsy and tears easily.
Size: 10-Pounds
Works well but the “eco friendly” bag rips VERY easily resulting in chemicals going everywhere, a ton of cleanup and a major storage issue once the bag is damaged. Purchased both the alkalinity and ph increases from this company and both bags ripped the first time the side of the bag brushed the plastic outdoor storage chest we have them in. Will not buy again until the bag is updated. ... show more
